Where has the magic gone?
Eeewwwwweeeepoooooeeee on FS1 tomorrow night.
... and I do miss the lame analysis. Having said that I do believe this team will be a positive surprise by the end of the season. Belmont exploited our weaknesses on D and late game judgement but in spite of that we were in the hunt up until the end. Not bad for a bunch of newbees!

Interesting as to who Start's. Throw that bone out there.
We're already a game and a half back of Seton Hall... why even bother?
Eating at soblemans right now and the entire IUPUI team just walked in. Whose knee should I club, or is food poisoning the way to go?

Darell Combs or Marcellus Barksdale. Dealer's choice

Yeah and while I have participated, I have decided to withdraw and turn off notifications. This is usually what happens when politics are allowed.
I am 99% done with it. It is basketball season.

I was out of town for the weekend - looks like someone got to the banner by now though.

I like the cut of your jib, tower.
I think I'll sideline myself from the political board for now, too.
Go Warriors!

Hardly. The season just started, we are one game in....we lost...we play a fluff cupcake tomorrow....a major world event happened in the last 2 days.
Nothing wrong with that.
Besides....Wojo can't coach, Buzz could coach this team better, Crean sucks, ND sucks, coach K teaches flopping, etc, etc. If I missed any, let me know.

You missed a few things (Wisconsin sucks being one) but I like the way you're thinking. It took you more than 10,000 tries but you finally hit one out of the park. Congrats!

But next year and next game this team will improve. Poor Buzz could not recruit within the parameters set by the BOT.
Was talking with a Syracuse alum the other night and his feeling is that the New Big East is academically the best league in the nation second only to the Ivy. Of course the Ivy doesn't not compete with the top leagues athletically.

Really? I have a feeling the AAU members in the Big 10 may differ on that opinion.

Not to mention the ACC.
Or Pac 12...

We're probably propped up just by not having football to be honest. Athletics likely trails any university's average grades, and each Big East school has 85-100 less players requiring those concessions.

All these plus the Patriot League and maybe some of the other mid majors, not sure.
So, summing all this up, their will still be several conferences as good or better academically while we drop from the best basketball conference ever to one that's middle of the road. And some morons will cheer our likely decline because it means we no longer ascribe to Al McGuire's "Just win, baby" mantra. Whoopee!

You have some interesting friends.......I'll leave it at that. Big Ten better. Patriot League. ACC. Pac 12 is mixed, 5 great schools and some not so great schools. At any rate, we have strong academics but let's not get carried away.

Yep.
It's the same couple dozen people yammering on, arguing for the sake of arguing, entrenched in their positions.
And I say this as a guy who had been one of the yammerers.
I haven't been on there for 24 hours and it "feels right." I've got plenty of outlets for my political news, and I have friends from both ends of the political spectrum I can shoot the shyte with anytime I want.
I need this board for my Warriors fix. I sure as heck don't need it to be told how wonderful or awful some politician is.
Maybe I'll check it out again in the offseason. Or maybe not.
Go Warriors!
