That's a phenomenal feat, but what caught my eye even more was their shooting from downtown: 83 attempts!!
You have to give credit to the rest of the team as well. If they don't make the shots he doesn't get the assists.
Simply amazing!
It is Grinnell, their game plan has always been a focal point for ESPN and ESPN the Rag.
Their scores are usually 127-125, no defense, very little shots at rebounding, just fast-paced, high-tempo offense.
I saw Grinnell play at Carthage a couple years ago, and it was certainly interesting to say the least. They have 15 guys on the roster split up into 3 shifts like a hockey team. They put on a full court zone trap the whole game hoping for easy steals. They're willing to give up layups on the defensive end as long as they can hit threes when they have the ball, sometimes passing up on open layups themselves so they can kick it out for a 3. Rarely do they take the shot clock under 20 seconds.
When they come out for warm-ups, you can't help but laugh because they basically have the appearance of a cross country team.
