Title: Game day article from SB Nation
Post by: real chili 83 on November 13, 2015, 04:00:07 AM
Same story...we are too young, unknown,  not much returning.....

Lots of respect for Belmont.

That was a fair assessment. I would take the Belmont and the points if I were betting. We will be a different team in January than we are tonight. The young fellas will need a little time to settle in. Hoping for a MU win, but a road dog like Belmont that on paper looks better is the smart bet.

guess we're going to have to gain some respect the old fashion way.  i can understand it's difficult to gauge MU with it's new players, but i think we will surprise some people, but we'll see...83-77 belmont????? and we are favored by 5 with a money line of -225/belmont +197 wow!

on another note-wisky is favored by 26.5 over w. illinois  i know nothing about w. ill., but first wisky has to score 26.5 points heyna??  btw-i think Udub will be very mediocre, but ya gotta like the white boy from lacrosse

Forgot Rick Byrd is their coach. Isn't he one the main guys on the rules committee?

Might be a bit of an advantage for Belmont since so many rules and points of emphasis have changed.

Actually, Carlino was one of our very few scoring threats last season. Thank God we had him or our awful year would have been an unmitigated disaster.

Carlino played hard, was a good teammate, and did what was asked of him. Without him we don't reach 10 wins on the season.

I think it is safe to say, win or lose...there is going to be quite an over reaction here.

Happens every year for a game like this.

What was inaccurate about the article's assessment of MU?  Top scorer gone from a bad team.   Precious little experience returning.    Putting a whole lot of our hopes on Henry.   My head and my heart disagree on this one.
