Still early for the AP and ESPN/Coaches poll but CBS has their Top 26 out.
Marquette stays at 10, while Louisville and Wisconsin get bounced from the rankings.

I would assume Marquette moves up a few spots in the ESPN poll with UL and Butler losing this weekend right? I was hoping for top 10, but I don't think it'll happen.
Never know with the Coaches poll...we probably didn't beat UW by enough...so we'll probably move down to 16. ;) We have to be the only team that won all of our games in a given week and moved down in the polls....twice!
At least we should be top 10 going into the Beast season with what should be home wins the rest of december.
We should win out. The last two years we have had a let down game at home (North Dakota State & Winthrop), however, this team looks like they've matured to the point where this shouldn't happen.
I think they proved their maturity when they fought back down 4 in Madison.
we've had the close games at home so far...december will be for some 20 point wins!!

Up to 13 in the coaches poll.
Louisville and Butler fall behind us. Indiana falls behind us from previously being tied with us.
those coaches definitely dont believe in us. should be at 11 above A&M and tennessee after a win at one of the toughest places to play in the country

Tennessee only won by 6 at Chattanooga. We won by 5 in Madison, the assistant's must be letting the mascots fill out the polls.
I would actually like to see a mascot poll released ;D
Up to 10 in the AP Poll.

I half expected Pitt to drop a spot or two.. they BARELY squeaked out a win against Wash who got blown out by OkSU who I remember seeing get blown out by somebody else (trying to remember who ;))..
But I am actually somewhat glad they didn't.. disappointed L-ville dropped so far although I understand why. Would love to see more Big East teams in the top 15 (or top 25 even).
Ecstatic that we knocked UW out of the polls.. don't have to see their name on the ticker as often :D
The problem with the polls is that nobody really knows how people cast their votes. Do they just look at final scores, do they grab the box score, read some coverage, etc. On paper and in reality, our victory was very very impressive and we should move up a few spots in all polls.
We have a loss and Pitt doesn't. We beat a Wisconsin team that will likely lose their share of games this year and who were awful when they were showcased earlier against Duke. I'll take the #10 ranking and live with #13.
Polls are useless*
*except for increasing the amount of media coverage afforded to a team.
At least were not St Mary's. Props to them, but 18 years between top 25 appearances - wowzers.
