What to name the Marquette Student section?

A few weeks back, we were tipped off that students buying basketball season tickets were asked to submit new names for the student section. The current unnamed unit is typically referred to as "The Best Student Section in the Country" at tip-off, a generally hyperbolous statement made comical when there are at most 150 kids [...]

I think the administration has lost the benefit of the doubt when it comes to any naming contest for anything, ever. Until the end of time.

By that logic the administration lost the benefit of the doubt due to the Warriors nickname which is a distant second to our best ever nickname: The Golden Avalanche.

Let's take a vertical shot of the marquette interchange, make it a symbol, and call them the student section that formally cared.

When the blog post criticizing the choices offers up an equally lame suggestion, I think it may be best to simply pass on naming the student section at all.

This really has to be a thing that has to happen naturally, right? Marquette already tried once in the last 10 years to stick a name on it, and it didn't work. Eventually, there will be a creative and interesting name for the section that pops up, but if you have to work at figuring one out, it's really not worth it.
