Sorry if this was mentioned earlier.
No idea of the financials, but at first blush, that's disappointing. It was looking like he might move up to Ligue 1 in France which is a top league in Europe. Or you'd think his success could at least get him to Italy or Spain. This would appear to be a significant step down in quality of play.
Gambatte!

On snapchat he's been posting is numbers. He has gotten way better or its pretty bad competition. Hard to see him putting up 35/20 anywhere else
Couldn't he be playing in the D-League? I accidentally watched a D-League game once and from what I saw I'm pretty sure that Ox could be a starting center somewhere in that league

You usually make a lot more money overseas

Power forward, maybe. The eternal Achilles heel for DG will be his defensive quickness and overall foot speed. Plus he is 6'6 and change.
He should stay overseas and earn his $$$. D league is for those who have a legitimate NBA chance. He doesn't.

What do you mean? He'd be going for 50/35 against Dirk!

Maybe after Dirk's 20th game of hammerschlagen

I dunno, with Dirk being a 7' German, Davante may need more than a 20 game head start.

So much awesome in that post.
With this much time away, you start to forget just how Ners was. Thanks for the reminder.
Of course, you know what the natural progression is from this: he comes back to MU and lands a job with the Women's team.
EDIT: Per http://basketball.usbasket.com/team/USA/Marquette_University/391?Page=4
Argentina - Dwight Burke
China - Dwight Buycks
England - Joe Chapman
France - Mo Acker, Matt Carlino
Germany - Chris Otule
Greece - Jerel McNeal
Israel - Niv Berkowitz, Trevor Mbakwe
Italy - Junior Cadougan, Trent Lockett
Japan - Davante, Trend Blackledge
Qatar - Dominic James
Romania - Ousmane Barro
Turkey - DJO
Looking at that page made me realize that maybe the Knicks and Lakers have had the most former Marquette players.
NYK - Doc Rivers, Maurice Lucas, Novak, Gene Berce, Brian Bunkhorst, Allie McGuire, Meminger,
LAL - DJO, Maurice Lucas, Jim Chones, Butch Lee, Dwight Buycks, Vander, Tony Smith, Earl Tatum
I guess it makes sense since they're two of the oldest franchises in the NBA.
Other runners up would be ATL, WAS, PHI, DET, PHO, and DAL

Did Vander ever see the floor with the Lakers?

Japan - Davante, Trend Blackledge
The other MU player playing in Japan is Trend Blackledge? that tells me what I need to know about the competition Ox is facing.

Final two games of the 2014-15 season.
Started one.
What a night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Uw7SXbSnag
His Exit interview with the LAL: http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/1415_exitInterview_blue
OUCH: "Guys named Dwight Buycks and Vander Blue logged playing time last season, the beginning and end of the Lakers' problems."
