Title: More Sportsline: Seth Davis also likes the good guys.
Post by: IAmMarquette on December 07, 2007, 04:06:20 PM
QuoteNo. 11 Marquette  (5-1) vs.  Wisconsin (6-1)
Marquette coach Tom Crean likes to say that a main reason his guards shoot such a low percentage is poor shot selection. But this has gone on long enough that I'm more inclined to believe they're simply not good shooters. Dominic James, Jerel McNeal and Wes Matthews are making a combined 15 for 50 from three-point range this season, and as a team Marquette is ranked 10th in the Big East in both three-point percentage (35.0%) and threes made (6.8 ). The good news is, Wisconsin is even worse in those categories (31.1% and 5.3, respectively) and does not have the ballhandling to deal with Marquette's withering perimeter D. Yes, the Badgers almost never lose in Madison, but that's usually because the Badgers have really good players. Not this year.
Marquette 74, Wisconsin 63

Tops on Davis' list of the "weekend's biggest games."

While it is nice to be noticed, he sure did not show us much love. He is Not impressed with our shooting at all.
