Question:
In your mind, what would signify the most positive sign from Wojo and staff?
Option 1: Henry high production year one
Option 2: High level of Play of point guard this year
Option 3: JuJaun/sandy/fish improvements
Option 4: Landing last 1a/1b recruits for next year
Option 5: Beating Wisco this year
Enjoy
Showing they can develop players will be the most positive sign. We have seen they can recruit. A close second would be game management.

I agree with this though I would also rank PG play high. We know they can recruit, can they evaluate talent? If the Carter/Cheatham PG tandem can work that would be a good indicator they can.
Seeing big jumps from Jajuan and Sandy would really be a positive for the staff.
i went with sandy/jj...but in the end...wins/losses and a clean program are what wojo should be graded on. don't care who/where the production comes from.
ALL OF THE ABOVE. :)
No one element is overwhelmingly important. They all are.
You can recruit, but if you can't put a cohesive, talented team together (are you listening Digger and Tanned One) on a consistent basis, you won't sustain it. It is critical that JJJ improve. It's critical that our guard play is high level and it's critical to our fertile recruiting ground that Bo doesn't know the taste of victory this fall.
If we can get JJJ up to his press clippings when we recruited him or up to the expectations that we Scoopers have for him, that will be a huge feather in Wojo's cap. It will prove how good a coaching team his staff is!
It's also critical that we make the NCAA this spring. But, dude, that's not even on the list!
Being able to develop players once they're in Milwaukee takes the edge off on "needing" to recruit the highest caliber players possible.
I voted beating WI. That would include the high development of the players and game management. He needs to beat WI to protect his recruiting momentum in WI.

The momentum that got him Ellenson and Hauser without beating Wisconsin?

Evaluate the direction of the program and success of the coach on if the team wins one particular game or not? I don't think so.
If they finish 20-9 but and make the NCAA tourney will it matter if one of those 9 losses is WI.
If they finish 13-19 again but one of those 13 wins is against Wisconsin I'll still be disappointed and concerned.
Frankly if you're going to pick a game as a gauge I'd rather it be beating Nova. But basing an evaluation on any team particularly a young team on any one game particularly one early in the season is crazy.

Just win baby. Get me back to March.
Player development. We've been sorely lacking it for years.

He will not continue to get those kind of players, if he does not win. Right now it is old Bo vs young Wojo. With Bo supposedly retiring the dynamics will change.
Beat Wisco.
Despite losing a lot of talent, Wisconsin is more "in sync" than MU, considering MU has a load of frosh on their roster.
Also, to be WI means that things are gelling well for this team before the BE season begins. And THAT is a sign of good things to come this season.

Exactly!
Good poll. All about development. It's great that you can recruit with the big boys, but all but the top 10 need seasoning every year. So if you can't turn those guys into big time players, you'll plateau pretty quickly.

Player development is important. I think the best way of demonstrating that is to beat the Badgers.
