08/12/15 Haukar Basketball (Iceland) Rome, Italy 11:30 a.m. CT
08/15/15 BC Atletas (Lithuania) Montecatinit Terme, Italy 11:30 a.m. CT
08/16/15 Vicenza Select Vicenza, Italy 1:00 p.m. CT
08/19/15 Sam Basket Massagno (Swiss) Lugano, Switzerland 1:00 p.m. CT
The last game is against the team that Jake Thomas played for last year.
Will these opponents improve our RPI?
Clearly a bad loss will affect our seeding.
Should the guys wear boots in the games, just in case?
Hopefully Massagno can sign D Will to team up with Jake in the back court

Imagine the panic here, if we lost to a team with a backcourt of Thomas and Derrick.

A loss here could be almost as devastating as the K-State scrimmage. Whatever they do, they can't let anybody go for 40!
Lugano is one of my favorite places in Switzerland. I am jealous
Looks like a great trip for our guys
Are we able to watch these games? Or will they be closed door?

Now, this was genuinely funny
I am not making any of this up.
The first team we are playing, Haukar Basketball is from Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. A town of about 27,000. Their head coach is Ivar Asgrimmson. One of their best players is a guy named Finnur Magnusson who played at Catawba College, a D2 school in North Carolina. I was kind of surprised to see he has a Wikipedia page, but alas...

I'm thinking that Marquette is gonna win a couple games on this trip.

Well I'm sure he needs a second job to supplement his Icelandic Basketball League income.
I assume that Fox Sports 1 will be covering all of these games?

Broeker better be working on his catch phrases. I'm expecting something along the lines of "onions!". Maybe "palles!"
Luke is going to play in these games, correct? I haven't heard much about his shoulder, but via the Facebook pics that MU posts it seems that he's able to practice.
Also, looks like Traci switched his number from 21 to 34. Hopefully he can be just as good as Diener.

My too early prediction, Luke will have a break out season. He was guarding his shoulder last season and was in some instances avoiding contact all together. He will be very strong in the post this year and will take a lot of pressure off Mr Carter.

Might do the Sunday game from the man cave-garage. Sounds like an excuse to fire up the smoker. Can you say brisket and ribs?

Sorry, but we can pretty much just concede the game against Haukar Basketball. Word is they just signed the Ivan brothers, formerly of West Eastern State. (One of the top 25 Universities in the west eastern United States). I just hope that Luke and Henry don't get hurt.
