According to Ryan Silver MU has reached out to him as well as ND, South Florida and Maryland. Just reading about him people in CA see him as an NBA caliber player. Class of 2016

That was my initial reaction but he's no slouch bouncing around from meaningless HS to another.
He transferred from Mater Dei to Gardena-Serra to Findlay.

Screams to me that he is coddled, can't handle tough times so his parents let him transfer when things don't go his way. Too many people aren't willing to grow and endure some disappointment and take easy way out.

Don't sell yourself short Judge, you're a tremendous slouch.

screams to me that there is an inordinate amount of people willing to pass judgement on others in a public arena without any real knowledge of the kid or situation. i won't pass judgement on how willing you are to grow...or often you take the easy way out.

Is there anything you won't bloviate negatively about other than rich white guys?

Yup. Though he had an offer from ASU, so I'm sure Coach Johnson is aware of any potential issues.

A 7 footer who's only averaging 10 rebounds a game at the highschool level is scary. I've known centers who were 6'4 and had better averages then that.

While true, the numbers alone don't speak to the level of competition and one truth is you can't teach size. You won't find many 6'4" centers that are effective in the Big East. Not at all saying this kid will be a stud, or even a solid starter, or that he won't transfer twice before his college career ends, but I wouldn't discount him because he's "only" putting up 10 rpg.

This is a great description of the internet.

I think I might just be loosing my mind but 4ever is becoming one of my favorite posters. I have no reason behind that, his nonsense grows on you like a virus ;D

Does Pat Smith still hold the single game rebounding record at MU? He was maybe a half-inch shy of 6'4" and the same guy DePaul's Ray Meyer dissed as someone who couldn't shoot the ball in the ocean.
With no ocean available, Al took Pat and a couple of photographers to Lake Michigan one day to prove him wrong.
That photo has appeared several times and I hope somebody posts it again.
We older alums loved Pat. He was a truly a great Warrior.

I believe he did that in his first game ( I was at that game) and never came close to that again. Must of surprised the competition just like Fischer did.

He did it against Loyola, I believe, so that would not have been the 1st game of the year .
-
Great photo of Pat Smith with Al. He had 28 rebounds against Loyola (IL) which still stands as the MU record.

rebounding is effort, desire, positioning, and the God given talent to jump higher than others.

I don't like George Soros at all.

I believe he was not eligible the first semester, but I may be confusing him with Paul Carbins.

It's an opinion board, I cast my opinion. I'll go one further....I will wager that whatever school he commits to is not where he finishes from. Maybe with today's transfer rates that isn't a real shocker, but someone it is alarming how many schools he has gone through. In my opinion, teaches someone to constantly keep moving if you don't like your situation.

Says the guy who:
1) recently changed jobs for presumably a better situation
2) Can't shut up about moving to Idaho in a few years for presumably a better situation (aka less brown people)
Hysterical....hypocritical...oblivious
