15 year run comes to an end.

I haven't watched an episode yet and certainly won't just because it's the final year.

Does it say anything about society that this has lasted 15 years? I don't know.

The Gong Show was the nuts, but I also watched Make Me Laugh.

I hate the vocal Olympics singing shows like American Idol, but while I don't make a point of watching it, I will watch America's Got Talent if I happen across it every now and then.  I like some of the unusual acts they have that you're not likely to see otherwise.

Both shows had the excellent taste to feature the Unknown Comic.

I don't watch the show, but if I was going to make a list of television and which ones were the downfall of society, there'd be a bunch of them on there before I got to American Idol.

My fav on the Gong Show was Gene Gene the Dancin' Machine!

Now THAT was fantastic television.

According to the wife, "The Voice" has pretty much taken over from "American Idol" anyway.

Has The Voice produced a single bona fide recording star?  Just asking; I have never watched that show past the button-pushing stage.

Only 10 years too long.  All the awful shows like this stick around forever.
