Rosiak has a new article out today, sounds like the Nebraska experience from last year was a valuable lesson.
QuoteA year ago at this time, he and the Marquette Golden Eagles were riding high after winning the Great Alaska Shootout, only to be cut back down to size four days later in their first true road game of the season at Nebraska.
McNeal and 13th-ranked MU (6-0) face a similar scenario tonight with their road opener at Valparaiso, a game that comes on the heels of their 73-62 defeat of Duke on Tuesday in the championship game of the CBE Classic.
How they handle it will be as good a gauge as any to just how much they've grown since that last letdown.
"The main thing we're trying to do right now is just really put emphasis on letting guys know that the same exact thing happened to us last year right after the Great Alaska Shootout," the sophomore guard said. "We just want to go in there with a mind-set of, 'Hey, the CBE Classic is in the past now.' We handled business out there but we just want to keep rolling along."

He definitely makes some good points, and I definitely thought that this could be a tough game coming off the CBE and going on the road. I thought so even more after we beat Duke. However, I think that this year's team is more mature than last year's was at this time, so if we keep our heads in the game we should be alright.
