Title: Kentucky gets Away with an F1
Post by: Class71 on April 04, 2015, 10:01:59 PM
It pays to be the top overall seed. And how about those ratings if KU wins. Why bother going to the video tape, it's obvious, the viewers and announcers do not understand the a hit to the face means nothing.

UK   UK,  not KU

The refs and I disagree with an F1 call there.  In slow motion it looked different than what occurred.  The Kentucky player and UW player were battling/holding/grabbing.  The slap to the face was part of that where he was trying to clear the player.  It was a normal basketball play.

UK would have benefited with that guy getting thrown out. He was horrible the whole game.

Not a F1. That angle didn't show Lyles going for the ball. They deservedly didn't call a foul upon review.

It certainly was a lot less questionable than not calling Hayes for the shot clock violation. Anyways, the game was lost by Coach Cal having Kentucky trying to use up the clock on three straight posssessions.

I SO agree with this. I was shouting at the TV. It was horrible offense, and it started early, too. Don't forget that Towns saved another going-nowhere possession by grabbing 2 offensive rebounds.

I can't for the life of me figure out why even some of the best coaches in the land tell their guys to stop doing what got them there. I mean, it was a 4-point or 2-point lead with 4-5 minutes left. Instead of playing Kentucky basketball, they played Wisconsin basketball ... and they got what they deserved. A big, fat L.

Superbar.

And you can say F1 or whatever if you want, but Koenig was out of bounds and there was a shot clock violation before Hayes scored his put back.  Those directly gave Wisconsin 4 points that they should not have had in a game in which UK had to foul down 2.
