Did anybody notice Bo sit his young guard (Koenig) after he made a bone-headed foul? Gotta let players play through that.....or some such nonsense. C'mon Ducks! Keep the upsets going!
Always say it...Let's Go Ducks!!!!

Duck 'Em, Bucky
I feel like this is going to jinx it.
Ducks don't beat them in hoops, they just smack them in football
hey chicos.. where is a site that has up-to-date (or close to it) score-adjusted Fenwick??

A few places...just google. Interesting numbers this year, with the New York Islanders as the highest SAF right now, but the Kings, Tampa, and Pittsburgh coming on strong.
My Ducks, great record, but as I always told Lenny, that don't mean shinola. They aren't close to the best team. SAF actually has them 15th...they are a mirage. They'll go out early, despite the gaudy record.
NHL Playoffs = crapshoot too

I'm just starting to get into hockey. Can you explain why this happens more than in any other sport? Regular season seems to be irrelevant as long as you get in the playoffs. 6, 7 and 8 seeds winning the cup is never seen as shocking.

Compared to a NBA....absolutely.

He just went left.
I think that UNC game is going to be very interesting. Oregon is making them play faster than they like. UNC is likely going to do the same.

Kaminsky's going to make a nice living picking splinters out of his ass in the NBA. Same with Dekker.
Hayes, however...
cracks me up that badger fans have complained the entire second half about the refs and the ducks finally got to the bonus with under 1 minute left.
Dekker will be lucky to get half as many points vs his old aau teammate JP Tokoto

Roy Williams has never lost in the Sweet 16 as the coach of UNC. Perfect 6-0, and 10-1 overall when he has a week to prepare. Tough test for Bucky.
I don't see the Badgers having much trouble with UNC. UNC is another team that isn't overly disciplined (like the Ducks) and don't shoot overly well (unlike the Ducks). They do have the size and athleticism to bother the Badgers defensively, but I think you have to be able to knock down outside shots to beat Wisconsin. Paige can shoot it but he's a high volume shooter. The other little guard can shoot it. But that's really it. Tokoto is even more broke than Dekker (and that is saying a lot), Meeks is purely a post. The 2 power forwards (Johnson and the lankier kid) can stretch it out to 15 but I think you need more than 2 3 point shooters to beat the Badgers. Plus Meeks hurt his knee yesterday.
Arizona should beat up on the Badgers, but you never know.
In other words, it's a crapshoot, ai na?
There's more whining here than on the UW board when they lose to MU.
Free throws were 29 to 8 in favor of Bucky. They will foul out the entire UK team when the teams meet.
Dekker had a foul early in the game, where he's staring over at Bo in disbelief over the call. He looked like the grade schools games I watched this year where kids look over at their parents if something doesn't go right.
Their players, coaches, and fans all have a serious issue with f**king being whiny little crybabies about officiating. Even people who I otherwise like that are Badger fans do that. It's like they all see Bo acting like an idiot over darn near every call against them, so they all think they have to mimic him.
Man I want them to go down so badly.

Please Roy, put them out of their misery. It's going to be unbelievably insufferable in this state if they get back to the FF, and God forbid....nope, won't say it.

I will root for Kentucky if that is what it takes to stop a Wisconsin championship.

Oregon settled for numerous 3s and many early shots.
Also, Bucky has a reputation for not fouling, and that feeds on itself. It's like the old Shula-coached Dolphins who had a reputation for not committing penalties so they got called for few penalties so the reputation continued, etc.
As for Bucky fouling out the entire UK team ... They won't. And even if a couple of UK players get into foul trouble, it's one of the few teams that can withstand that because of their depth.

Yeah, but if the guy can hit some outside shots...
He's not going to attract the double teams like he did yesterday.
UW didn't play their best and still won. That's the mark of an excellent team. Any one on the court is a threat to score. They're very good and any team that beats them will have earned it.

I'll be rooting for UW. I would hate for the one and done "pros" to steal a championship. Though I don't think UW can win it.

How are they "stealing" a championship? They are simply doing what the current NBA labor situation allows them to do. (Not to mention that a number of them are sophomores.)

This.
My family told me I was being a child not to pull for the Badgers, but when I watch them its impossible for me.

If you look at UK's top 8 players, there are as many sophs and juniors as there are freshmen. Not exactly a bunch of 4-year kids, but hardly all one and dones either.

Building on this, there are only four frosh on the roster, and one is 5'9" Tyler Ulis. That means there will be at most 3 one-and-dones on this team.
One of (perhaps the only) good thing about UW and ND winning is that now I have rooting interest in the Sweet 16.
Go UNC!!
Go Wichita State!!
In fact, now that I live in N.C., I think I'll go out to a bar Thursday night, get rowdy with the Tar Heel folks and watch both UW and ND go up in flames!!

Ive been told the same. Its not gonna happen. Especially when you watch Kaminsky blatantly shove an Oregon player to get a rebound and the announcers immediately fawn about how "Wisconsin just doesn't foul, its remarkable".
