Geez, that's like us losing to Miami of Ohio in 1978.
A 14 over a 3. Yuck
We've got to recruit against these guys, ya know. Oftentimes for our own players, but they are also very interested in challenging us for Minny and Wisco players.

I think the "too" is because he's already told me to F off lol.
He's a bit of an ISU fan boy
Kinda bummed out
That was the team I was rolling with
Hope Wojo watched this game. Even good 3 point shooting teams go cold. Rebounds, specifically on the offensive end, is what keeps you in those games.... or allows you to lose them.
Summary, find us a true "power" forward who will do nothing but rebound, then focus on shooting guards.

I think you were safely in the majority there. I just want to lessen any recruiting edge they may have. Hoiberg isn't going to build with transfers forever. MU is bumping into them a lot going after Wisco and Minny players out of HS.

I think the Miami loss was much worse.
I had Iowa State going down to SMU anyway. A team can only win so many flukish games in one season before getting exposed...I just wasn't expecting them to get exposed by UAB!

I said it was "like."
Nothing I have ever experienced has been quite like the feelings I had after we lost to Miami. I was angry and felt very let down by our Warriors.
It took us 15 years to begin to recover from that day.

Yeah, understandably its a lot tougher loss when you actually know someone out there.
They were something like the top 10 kenpom offensive efficiency and 80+ kenpom defensive efficiency. That mismatch made me kind of leery of "rolling with them."
This trendy, fun ISU philosophy has a limited shelf life until they get put on probation or the alumni get tired of the mayor's shtick.

Or the mayor moves on to Chicago to replace Thibs.

Hoiberg to the Bulls, Thibs to the Pelicans.
Just heard Bilas say he didn't see ISU with a single, clean block out for a rebound.

And then Davis to the Bulls?
