Simple statistics...idiot.
One bad game and UK goes down. Bucky could definitely beat them.

C'mon Sultan--I agree with you, but that is SOP for about 1/3 the scoop posters when somebody posts an opinion not liked by another guy.
I voted for the Field. I always take the Field. The fact that Kentucky made me seriously re-think a position I have held firmly for more than two decades is a testament to just how amazing Kentucky is this year.

...HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAH. no.
UNLV back in 1991 had five players who were eventually drafted into the NBA. Defending national champions. Undefeated. Seemed unbeatable.
And lost.
Kentucky 41% chance to win it all per 538 sports

Willing to wager that's far higher than their odds of getting here at 34-0, also probably much higher than any other top seed of the past decade.
Felt 40-0 was a decent bet ever since the twins and company came back. Spot me 34 wins and it's an easy call.
I voted Kentucky. They won their conference tournament with ease this year. Their last championship team lost in the conference tournament.
Vegas has made Kentucky even odds.
The field, 100-1.
Wisconsin 6-1.

What does the field 100-1 mean? If Kentucky is even money, wouldn't the balance of the field also be even money? I suppose that numbers eliminates more than just Kentucky, but who else isn't included?
I'd take Kentucky over the field, but I wouldn't wager a whole lot on it. If you figure they have a 90% chance to win every game, that makes ther odds of winning 53.1%. I understand they are really 100% in game 1, but they are probably under 90% in the last couple. 50-50 feels about right.
I think of it this way....
Figure the first two rounds they have a 99% of winning each game.
Then I figure the Sweet Sixteen game they have a 97% of winning. I would put the Elite Eight game at 90%.
Now the two Final Four games is another story. Probably each about 80% of winning.
If you add up the probabilities that is 54% of winning it all. Still clearly the favorite as no one else would be close to 54% but certainly no lock.

Yep, but there is a big difference with Kentucky...they have more than five guys...more like 10. They are far less susceptible to one bad game, because if 2-3 guys are having an off night, they have more where they can from to pick them up. Ordinarily I would go with the field,p but that is the biggest reason I believe they will get it done. No team has had the quality depth, size etc. they have.
Even if someone like Cauley-stein has a bad day, foul trouble, etc., with few exceptions, they will have the advantage at all 5 positions, every minute of every game. Not to mention, calipari is under appreciated as a coach. He is every bit the coach as nearly anyone they will face.
Of course they can lose, but unlike others who have been in the position before, I just think they are too deep, too big, and too good.

Considering the money line on the field is -130, if someone gives you 100-1 odds on the field, you take that bet every single time.

This is misleading. Vegas has odds for about 60 teams. The rest of the teams, not among these 60, are considered "the field." This should be 10,000 to 1 that one of these teams will win it all.
Vegas has not yet established a "not Kentucky" bet. At least they have not as of three days ago when
I last checked.

Lol.
I'll take the bet on Bucky getting to the Final Four if interested. Money to charity.

Nov comment vs right before the tournament. I made my bet in Tahoe, I walked the walked with the dinero. :)
Honestly, I thought North Carolina would beat Wisconsin, they had them but they choked. I knew Wisconsin would beat Arizona and obviously bet on the Badgers to beat Kentucky. Think Duke has a good shot to win, better than Kentucky did.
