How come Raf is doing the Big Ten tourney? Thought he was the Big East's guy? To make it worse they give us Jimmy Jax
Raf is practicing with Jim Nantz for the tournament. Saw an announcement a couple of weeks ago that Raf was going to CBS earlier this year. Also Verne and Raf won't be together for the first time in forever.

Nance has not been doing big 10 games so far
It's Raftery, BTW.

Nantz, Raftery and Hill on CBS on Saturday.
Can you blame him? It's fox sports 1!

That's not the reason.
He has always worked for CBS in the NCAA tournament. He was given the Final Four call for the first time this year but has never worked with Nantz and Hill. This was his last opportunity to do so. Since Fox is a B10 partner, and I'm sure because Raftery has been more than supportive of FS1, they allowed him to.
Really ripping on FS1 is really misguided. Marquette gets more games on national television now than they did two years ago when they were an E8 team in the older, stronger BE.
Fox Sports1 coverage has been great! The live studio at MSG, inside the huddle feature is awesome and the coach and players on the sets. Stone, O'Neil and Marshall are solid.

Yeah, unless you have AT&T. The Big East is just a rumor.

I've also enjoyed the tournament presentation. And even though we've drawn the bottom tier announcers much of the season, it's good to know FS1 is aware of their best talent and put them front and center at the tournament.
I hate how CBS lets Nantz call the Final Four and National Championship games while he doesn't broadcast any regular season games.
Yeah, and Vitale probably gets the Master's gig this year, hey?

I also hate how the Final Four and National Championship are broadcasted by a guy whose dream was to host the Masters. Kind of different excitement levels.

That is because golf doubles the ratings in what a regular season college basketball game gets.

The bottom tier on FS1 is great compared to bottom in what ESPN puts out. MU -DePaul had Wayne Larrivee on FS2. Heck, Dick Stockton is a great bottom man for FS1.
Classy guy Nantz, but talk about bland vanilla blah for such a game. Haven't liked that one for some time.

I'll take vanilla any day over "colorful characters" like Dukie V.
Nantz does his homework and is a bit of a rainman, which I like. Hello, friends.
Anyone else hear Raf refer to Kaminsky as "Gminski" once today?
