I'm working on a CS post looking at some predictions for next year. Rather than make my own guesses on mpg for each player, I figured to just ask the board.
2015 (min/game)
Derrick Wilson 32.6 - graduating
Juan Anderson 27.4 - graduating
Matt Carlino 28.6 - graduating
Steve Taylor 21.9
Luke Fischer 21.8
Sandy Cohen 14.4
JaJuan Johnson 20.9
Duane Wilson 27.9
Deonte Burton 4.0
Next Year
Steve Taylor
Luke Fischer
Sandy Cohen
JaJuan Johnson
Duane Wilson
Wally Ellenson
Henry Ellenson
Matt Heldt
Sacar Amin
Traci Carter
Haanif Cheatham
Feel free to put in a confidence interval (5-10 mpg). Thanks in advance.

I believe you will see another zero on there as well if the rumblings are correct.

That being said, I think it is too early to do this. As Chicos implied, there may be a departure, and I think there also is going to be an addition as well.

For what I'm trying to do, the uncertainty is fine. Also, I don't read anything Chicos posts.
Here are my expectations:
Next Year
Duane Wilson: 30
Luke Fischer: 27
Henry Ellenson: 24
JaJuan Johnson: 22
Traci Carter: 18
Steve Taylor: 16
Sandy Cohen: 12
Wally Ellenson: 12
Matt Heldt: 10
Haanif Cheatham: 8
Sacar Anim: 5
As far as roles go...Duane and Traci mostly share the point guard duties, with Duane shifting over the the 2 when they play together. Shooting guard is by committee, with Jajuan, Duane, Sandy, Anim, and Cheatham all getting some time there. Small Forward minutes currently only have 15 allocated to Wally and Jajuan. The rest go to "player to be named later". Maybe John Brown if we're lucky. PF is mostly Henry with Steve and Wally picking up the remainder. Center is Luke's, Matt is main backup, Steve plays there when we go small-ball. Steve, Sandy, Wally, and Heldt give us a solid 4-man bench.
If we have a transfer, it would mostly impact the 2/3 positions and likely mean Cheatham and Anim play a bit more.
Steve Taylor 18
Luke Fischer 25 (foul trouble will prevent more)
Sandy Cohen 11
JaJuan Johnson 20
Duane Wilson 32
Wally Ellenson 10
Henry Ellenson 25
Matt Heldt 12
Sacar Amin 10
Traci Carter 22
Haanif Cheatham 15
A bit early since another player or two will probably be added, plus you never know who transfers out. But I'll take a stab at it as the roster currently stands.
Carter 25
Wilson 30
JJJ 20
Henry 26
Fischer 26
Taylor 21
Cohen 15
Cheatham 15
Wally 10
Heldt 8
Anim 4

I don't read anything Lenny or Brandx post. Maybe we could do a six degrees of separation?
At the risk of bemoaning the point, Deonte, Luke and Wally across the front line would have been very fun to watch.
I predict that MU players will combine to play 200 minutes a game -- more if there is overtime. Good players will play more than players who are not as good at their particular position. Sometimes players will play less if they foul a lot, thus other players will get to play more. Once in awhile, a player will get in trouble and may not play at all for a game or two whereas he may have played more if he wasn't in trouble. Those who are injured may also play less. If a game is canceled due to a weather event or some other unforeseen reason, no one will play any minutes.

20 thousand jillion posts, and never once is there a straight forward declaratory statement, such as, "I have heard rumours that 'Bobby Backboard' is transferring."

You aren't paying much attention then, but yes, I prefer in this case not to say who it might be because it is not confirmed. Sultan said something similar, but he only has 16 thousand jilion posts, so it might be ok. ;)
But in the past, I've stated things like Mayo will be gone, etc, etc. Enjoy your day.

To be fair, there was that one post about Josh Sharma being a "lock" for Wisconsin.

This is more than 40 mins/game for the 4 and 5. I'm not sure I see Wojo moving Henry or Steve to a 3 for 10 minutes a game considering all of the other wing options. Do you think this would happen? Not saying you're wrong, but I think it's more likely that we go to a 4 guard lineup rather than a 3 big lineup.

My recollection is that you said he MAY be gone rather than WILL be. After your statement, Wojo said Todd had a clean slate and would be back. Still later, Mayo committed another infraction and was shown the door.
Even though your initial "possibilty" was proven wrong by Wojo's own words, you've patted yourself on the back so many times since that some of the more confused (yourself included) may have forgotten the truth.
Wilson 30
Carter 25
Cheatham 20
Sandy 18
Wally 12
Henry 30
Luke 27
STjr 20
Heldt 8
JJJ 0 - have a feeling he's gone.

I think Henry will get at least 10 minutes a game at the 3.

I gave our "bigs" 85 minutes rather than 80 due to Henry's versatility - maybe it's 90, maybe even more.
Question: Do people really think the freshman are going to get more minutes that Sandy and Wally? Seems like a number of people have the freshman getting as many or more minutes. Obviously, this doesn't apply to Henry and Traci, but the others.

Because I wouldn't classify Henry as a "big." And I do think you are going to see lineups of Luke, Henry and STJ on the floor at the same time.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if our best lineup is Luke, Steve, Henry, Duane and Traci. With that I'll go:
Duane 30
Luke 28
Henry 27
Steve 25
Traci 24
Jujuan 20
Sandy 17
Wally 12
Matt 8
Haanif 5
Anim 4

I call dibs on the other 16 minutes.
Since I was a vet of HS and City Rec League for over 20 years, I think I deserve more than Wally, Sandy, Matt, Haanif, and Sacar.

I don't - other than Traci and Henry (as you said). Sandy's game will grow as he gains strength and Wally will be a slightly more skilled version of Juan.
Let me add that I hope Traci can give us the 24 minutes I've protected. That means he's a decent PG from day 1. We'll suffer if he's only capable of 15 in a backup role. Let's all hope that he's up to the challenge.
As it currently stands:
Duane Wilson 32
Henry Ellenson 28
Luke Fischer 27
Wally Ellenson 22
Jajuan Johnson 20
Steve Taylor 20
Traci Carter 15
Sandy Cohen 15
Haanif Cheatham 13
Matt Heldt 5
Sacar Anim 3
9 man rotation with Heldt and Anim getting spot appearances. Agree with others that the roster will look different by next season.

I hope MU recruits somebody on the wing so Sandy Cohen can red-shirt, he is not even close to being Big East material. Not strong, not overly quick, slow release, no jump shot and really
no offensive game. Needs 20-30 pounds more, I do not see him getting more then 5 minutes a game, and JJJ unless he shows more, 5 minutes. Cheatham and Wally will get more PT time.
Give a Schollie to the girl from DHSA girls team. Hell, she is better than most of the players we had this season. Ogunbuwale.

I was especially disheartened with his 12 points in 12 minutes against Providence. You're right about Sandy, what a stiff. That's too why weak sister programs like Virginia and Gonzaga offered him scholarships (among several others of course).
