Stopping Whiteheadis a major key. Guess we know who Derrick will be assigned to. This is Derrick's strength.

The article mentions Marquette, what? Once in the whole thing? Funny how beat writers can take on the personality of their players. All about themselves

To be fair, it's more an article on the importance of Whitehead the player to Hall's chances of winning rather than a game preview. There's nothing untoward here and I didn't spit my coffee out in fauxrage this AM when I read the article in an actual newspaper. Don't look for perceived slights when our squad's record over 30 games is a slight in itself.

Looks like we finally have some bulletin board material

Of the teams we play, fewer and fewer of their local papers provide any sort of preview. Good luck finding any article in the NY times doing a pre-game for St. Johns.
Probably, part of the issue is that we are not that big of an attraction due to our record. Next year, when we are consistently in the top 20, more coverage will come.
Where I've noticed it is with officiating. 9th place teams just don't get the calls. Not whining; we put ourselves there. Next year.

And with a rookie coach, too.
I hate the way the "veteran" refs have treated Wojo in league play. They'll go put their arm around Wright, Lav, JT3, but dismiss Wojo like he's some little twerp. Pisses me off. I'm glad he's gotten a few technicals this year.

Wojo needs to sent the Mache twins to assuage the refs before the game. It's my understanding that the twins will likely be high level refs sometime in their lives (from someone who has reffed with them before) so maybe they can build the bridges for Wojo...
