UWGB just lost in the championship game to Valpo.
They had a nice lead in the second half and the wheels came off.
Also just ending, St. Francis- Brooklyn was one of just a few teams to never make the tourney and they lost a real close game in their championship.
Dammit I'm sill going to enjoy the Madness.
2 or 3 years in a row Wardle just misses, really was cheering for GB tonight. I think he would be good for Depaul but they are so delusional they are waiting for Coach K or Cal.
Damn. I certainly pull for Brian's team.
Brian needs to win one of these to move his career forward. Losing Sykes is going to make it harder going forward. Tough being a mid-major coach.
Yeah, that's what Crean and Buzz said, hey?
The Phoenix were out scored 23-5 down the stretch to lose by 10. Had trouble just getting a shot off the last 13 minutes of the game.

Well, they did get to the NCAAs.......hey?
Tough game for UWGB I thought they were pretty good and if it was on a neutral court it would have been a different outcome, Fause from st cats would have looked good in a Marquette uniform this year

DePaul should probably look at Bryce Drew before Wardle. But either would be better than hiring another retread.
Circumstances really hurt Wardle the past two years. Get a 12-13 seed, make a little run to the Sweet 16, suddenly you're a got commodity for high major jobs. Not making the Dance with Sykes and Brown will leave him somewhat anonymous and likely at Green Bay a few more years. Too bad, because I really think he's ready for either a higher level mid major or lower level high major job.

If St. Louis opened up, that would be a real solid place for him to land. There are a lot of MAC, A10 and MVC jobs that seem to be no better than Green Bay, but the salaries are a lot nicer. That is why Tod Kowalczyk left for Toledo.

I agree that JLP is delusional, but not in the way that she is waiting for K or Cal... I think she's delusional to the point where she eventually might replace Oliver with a guy who hasn't coached at a level above school JV.
