Carlino 2nd team and Duane Wilson named all rookie team. Rookie of the year will be named from the all rookie team.

Angel Delgado and Trevon Blueitt were the only unanimous selections for the All Rookie Team. Makes me think that one of them will win it.

Blueitt deserves it since he was the best player on a team that is going to the NCAA Tournament, however, I bet Delgado gets a bit of that old "east coast" push and wins the award.

Also, it's a downright joke that Whitehead is on the All-Rookie team. Dude missed half the conference season and wasn't particularly outstanding when he did play. Shot around 30% whilst putting up 12 attempts a game. That's a bad volume offense killer there and he gets rewarded. I suspect it's a bit of CYA since the coaches put him up as pre-season ROY.

Pointer is a legitimate BEPOY candidate. I'd put him over Dunham, Arcidiacono, or Harrison. They should all be second team anyway. No reason for seven guys on the first team.

Got to agree on Isaiah Whitehead.  His biggest impact was tearing his own team apart.

Does Arcidiacano really deserve first team? Seemed like the glue guy for the team not a go to guy.

In my opinion he's the motor that makes them run. Hilliard is the best player but I think Arhidiocono is their most important player. Every time he came out against MU at the BC MU made a little run to cut it to 9 then he'd come back in and the lead would swell to 15. That's just who he is. Now should a guy whose best contributions to the team don't show up in the stat sheet be on 1st Team All BE? That's up for debate.

Similarly, while I know Dunham is Butler's top scorer and certainly is very good, I believe Jones is their best and most valuable player. Dunham needs to score, especially from the 3-point line, to have an impact. Jones can beat an opponent in many ways. It's no accident that Butler went from near the bottom to near the top of the conference after Jones returned from injury.

Seven on the first team because of ties.

What a joke. Dunn and Arcidiacono share the Player of the Year award. Archie isn't co-best player on his own team much less the league.

Jay Wright beats out Brandon Holtmann for Coach of the Year. How the guy with a top 10 team that was picked to finish first and did finish first is more impressive than the interim coach taking someone else's team, picked 7th, to 3rd place is beyond me.

Angel Delgado gets rookie of the year. Guess they got 1/3 right.

Why so many guys on the first team of a 10 team league?  The Big whatever has 14 teams and 5 guys on the 1st team.

Seems artificial and small time and should be changed IMO. ::)

They said it was because of ties in the voting. I agree, should be five, no more, no less.
