Title: Time for Senior day Ceremony?
Post by: GooooMarquette on March 04, 2015, 12:44:48 PM
I haven't called MU yet, but I'm wondering if anyone knows the time for the Senior Day ceremony on Saturday.

I had assumed it would be after the game as usual, but the email about tonight's game made a reference to a "pregame ceremony" Saturday - no time listed and I couldn't find anything on gomarquette.com.  I'm guessing they'd need to do it quite a bit in advance, since the teams would want to have final warmups prior to starting lineups and tip, right?  Maybe 12:00 or 12:30?

If nobody knows, I'll give them a call....

I'm hearing MU is changing things up and doing it before the game.

I called the ticket office, they said 12:40 for the start of Senior Day festivities. After the Georgetown game went late, I'm sure the Bucks home game Saturday has something to do with it.

Head to the @BMOHBC early for the #mubb game on Saturday as we'll hold a Senior Day ceremony beforehand at 12:40.

I think they are trying to avoid everyone leaving after we lose.

I think it's more that the Bucks play that night. After the Georgetown game went OT, they rushed people out of the BC and cut the post-game short so Homer was broadcasting from his cell phone, passing it back and forth with McIlvaine. If we went OT with DePaul, there wouldn't be time for any ceremony. The only way to be certain the ceremony will happen is to have it before the game.

Last years game went into 2ot, I 'm sure there was an event at night, so that really might have something to do with it.
