I'd be interested in your impressions of that place. I've never been, but I know the history.

Just to be clear.  My report is via a text from my buddy.  That said, chick and I attended last year.  Hinkle is a 'must attend' venue.  Fantastic atmosphere.  Hoosiers.  Nothing else to say. I do know that they did an off season remodel.

It's different this year with the major upgrade. The building went from 10,000 seats to 9,100 as bleachers were ripped out and seats were added. Brand new scoreboard.

(Juan was warming up and in uniform. My buddy there and had texted me a pic of Juan on the floor a few minutes before I read this thread. How much does he play tonight? Dunno.)

Cool.  Perhaps early on Juan was still going to get taped or something.  And my buddy is a diehard MU alum living in Indy.

Just returned.  I live almost-walking distance.  Took my daughter and drove given the weather and our schedules.  Hinkle is essentially the movie Hoosiers in terms of look and feel.  The place is absolutely fabulous for engaging in a game.  Feels almost, dare I use the word on this board, intimate.  Can really feel the emotion.  Refs feel it there too, instantly.  And Wojo felt it tonight.  Was standing maybe twenty yards from him and saw the whole tech developing; Wojo was correct in that Luke was straight as a bean pole with hands in the air, overall great D

We caught Wojo and the team returning to the court from the visitor's locker room after halftime--Hinkle is the kind of place where you can do that--and I mentioned "Nice T, Coach."  He didn't look like he was too interested in conversation.

Oh, one more thing about Hinkle is the fans there, being Hoosiers, are generally very knowledgeable about the game of basketball.  Adds to the atmosphere.  They express their emotions when warranted, and emphatically.

You said "nice T coach" and Wojo didn't stop to discuss??

The nerve of some people--who does he think he is?
