Per Mark Miller on Twitter. I swear I didn't visit Nick's page as I am over 21 and he is a HS Basketball Player....
Good for him!!
Go get em Nick......
If you are the outside shooter some say you are, keep it up cause you will get time on the court next year.
Good luck
Awesome news. Hope he's doing well, can get back on / stay on track, and hopefully get to campus in about four months.

Awesome! Can't wait to see him at MU.
Big time
Great news. I get the feeling NN is going to surprise a lot of people. The kid can ball, and I could see him really thriving under Wojo's mentorship.
That is awesome news for Nick! And for us. Great. Thanks for info
It's most likely not awesome yet for Nick.
On January 27, Matt Velazquez reported; 'On Tuesday evening, he changed that story (the depression tweet from Jan 10th) with a tweet saying, "I wasn't ever depressed or never saught treatment for depression... I had to get out of an abusive household and father"
The tweet came a few hours after the Wisconsin State Journal posted a story in which Kevin Noskowiak, Nick's father, is cited as saying that his son "is seeking treatment for depression at an undisclosed location and has no plans to play basketball in the immediate future." The elder Noskowiak said that his son is not living in De Pere with his uncle, as the Wisconsin State Journal reported on January 20.'
Obviously, Nick's situation will continue to be challenging for some time, and he'll benefit from continued good thoughts and prayers from all of us in the MU community.

Good call. Hopefully it's a step towards normalcy for him.
When the problem came to a head? From Mark Miller's site:
"Noskowiak, who signed a national letter of intent last fall to play at Marquette, was averaging 25.0 points per game when he left the team following a loss to Middleton on December 19."
I'm guessing that someone was unhappy with his performance in that game.
I hope this is a path to healing for Nick. Far more important that he gets right.

There really is no good reason to continue to speculate about this situation.
I wish Nick the best of health and am happy that he is back with the team. We need him at MU next year, but, his health and well being are a big no. 1 priority.
Excellent news. I hope this is a return to normalcy for Mr. Noskowiak

All the best to Nick and his future.
Noskowiak will not play tonight per coach. Just FYI
This whole thing is squirmy.

That the coach isn't playing a kid who just rejoined the team for the first time in going on 2 months? Smart move by the coach.

Thanks for that. I hadn't seen "squirmy" used here on Scoop in a while. I try to remember to throw it into a comment every now and again, but I've been lax lately.

If you have to use teal to communicate your sarcasm, well, it isn't a very good usage of sarcasm.
rocky sez: edited out OT part

So Noskowiak is getting inconsistent playing time at Sun Prairie?

The whole thing. Not just NN riding the bench for a game.

I agree, it's a strange situation. One month he's thanking Wojo and others for their support during his battle with depression. The next month he's ripping his dad saying he was never depressed. Add to that some of the replies on his twitter, Wojo heavily recruiting PGs and there seems to be more to the story. That said, I really don't care, if he can play I'm all for him heading to MU.

I think we are going to need another PG regardless of NN showing up on campus as this year has shown. Duane can play combo guard (although I do like his ability to slash in the PG role a lot) but someone with a bit more experience would be nice too (preferably a Nic Moore). Frosh need time to Frosh (well at least those not named Henry Ellenson).
Excited to see NN get to campus (and perhaps away from whatever distractions are/were getting to him) and excited to see the recruiting plans going forward.

Yeah, it started with Juco PGs, which I agree would be great. But I believe Wojo has recently offered high school PGs. Duane has a great handle, not like D Wilson's but close. I don't see why he wouldn't be a great scoring PG, haven't seen one of those since Dominic.

Good comparison between Duane and Dom. Duane is a better shooter and FT shooter than Dom was. Dom was more athletic, but not by much. Dom a better ball handler, but not by much. Dom a better defender, but Duane has definitely improved. Playing more man D has helped Duane improve. Speed/quickness, would give a slight edge to Duane.
Have to seriously wonder if he ever makes it to campus.

Hopefully he will have a successful senior year from this point, and makes it to campus. But banking on a freshman to come in and take the PG position from day 1 is not realistic. Hell: look at our frosh recently, none did all that well their first year. Vander was probably the best in the last few years and he had plenty of struggles.
As Al used to say "let the players play." The best players will play. Each year you toss the new players in the mix and see who's the best.

I don't appreciate the negativity. But given the breaking news, I have to acknowledge that you're an effective prophet.
Next man up
