Just bitter. But can't be too mad at that effort by MU.
Can you get that up on the stud of the game Spiral?
I'm not mad at our team for the L. We played extremely well, but just couldn't get a no footer to fall when we needed it and the refs just wouldn't let either team play a fluid game.
Oh well. Time to crush UWM.
no intensity on D. bulls*it refs and no D by MU. what happend to the Okie St. D? GO pack!

couldn't play Okie St D... refs wouldn't allow it.
intensity hard to have when you have 27 fouls on the game. Let's take this out on UWM next week.
agree.. no okie st d allowed!
Time to crush UWM and kill the rodents in Madison.
We gave it our all but it wasn't our night. Near misses. So many blocking calls that could have been called charges, missed no footers by inches and balls that should have been steals but were just very near misses. All we needed was 2 or 3 of those to go our way. Great effort none the less.
hated coach k's grin at the end of the game. like a "we just got away with a lot of calls our our way" kinda grin..

why did they keep stopping the game to talk to Coach K... I think someone should review this film on these refs... there is no reason a game should be stopped so a coach can talk to the refs.... In sports like Rugby(what I play in college), the sir(ref) is not talked to, only by the captain, and is respected, not ran like college basketball is turning into
college basketball is so much better officiated then the NBA, however i think it is getting worse, not just from this game, but just how the refs are just run by coaches, shouldn't be allowed.
the "we are duke" chant at the end of the game by the duke crowd was a dick move. that pissed me off almost as much as the officiating.
btw- cheers to the MU fans in Maui, they did a great job of being loud and representing

Hilarious. Thanks for doing that.
Despite the officiating, though, I'm really proud of our guys tonight. Of course I'm disappointed that we lost, but we fought hard and never let up the whole game. Let's keep the intensity going into Friday!
Yeah, its 11:45 Central, have the fouls stopped yet? ???
Seriously, Marquette played great tonight. James had about 5 go "in and out" and with our foul trouble, that was the difference. Another night and another neutral court, Marquette can beat Duke.
Nothing but kudos to the team. With the early fouls they could have just given up, but they made it a game to the very end.

Did I hear a "Let's go Warriors" chant about 6-8 minutes into the second half? Anyway, saw lots of Warrior t-shirts in the crowd behind the bench. Great turnout....wish I was there. All in all, both teams played great. At one point Bilas or Rafferty said: "I wish the refs would stop blowing the whistle and interupting the action."

I think that was McDonough, he commented about the lack of flow in the game, and Rafferty and Bilas were strangely silent. Then MU picked up another foul and they started talking about how great the Duke player was.
I bet Hightower made at least 75% of the calls down the stretch. An absolute joke. For MU to have a chance at the end was impressive. While the refs did not directly cost MU the game, they did severely limit two major areas- dribble penetration and aggressive defense on the ball. MU couldn't do either since they had to worry about the whistles.
This trip has to be looked at as an overwhelming positive. We saw what this team is capable of, even facing adversity they could have easily beaten a legit top 10 team. What they lacked in the first three games, they have found.
I would not want to be Shorewood State next Friday.

It's 1:05 A.M. now and we just picked up another.
It's 1:45 now, and McNeal has fouled out of the next game.
2:09- I was just given a technical foul by Ed Hightower for my language during the game tonight.
