Looking at this bracket, this looks like one of those years where 10th place has a decided advantage over 8th or 9th. I'd think a 1st round game against Seton Hall vs. St. Johns is a wash, but we stand a much better chance at reaching the championship game with a 2nd round game against Butler rather than Villanova.
Agree SJS. Would be nice to make a run at the 7 seed.
Don't like our chances with that bracket.
The winner of the 8-9 bracket will finish their game around 9 pm Wed and will tipoff at noon on Thursday. Wow.

Thats the life of being a very low seed.

They'll have the whole off season beginnin' at 2 pm Thursday to recover, aina?
Maybe Toddler will play the roll of Kemba for us and push us into the NC2A's, aina?
I really like the #2 side of the bracket as it currently stands. Almost enough to wish for a last place finish. Avoid St J on their home court. Seton Hall very up and down, Butler is winnable, DePaul or Prov; I'd take my chances. The #1 side is murder, I wouldn't want to face any of those teams and we'd lose to Nova anyway.
Tie for last and lose the tie breaker, that's the ticket.
Playing St. John's in Madison Square Garden is the worst matchup we could get.
Just win baby. I'm not going to spend 10 minutes worried about our bracket. In 2 days I want our first back to back in memory. Win Every Day.
So it is better to finish last than be 8 or 9.

Unless, of course, St. John's ends up passing Seton Hall to be the 7 seed and Butler ends up passing Nova to be the 1. The former very well could happen, and the latter is not crazy talk. Which is why worrying about this stuff now is at least a little silly.

This year, I would agree.
But special things have happened before:

Not only does it screw the winner of the 8/9 game, it puts the 1 seed in the worst possible slot for ratings and gives the prime time games to the 2 and 3 seeds. Seems like you might want to put your 1 seed in prime time, aina?

Thanks, God.
We (Creighton) played both Seton Hall and Butler close. The road to the semi finals isn't HORRIBLE.

Congrats B_S, you have just reached your first scoop rite of passage. Asking what the hell does aina mean?

You should find what you are looking for there. All questions can be directed to 4everwarriors
Bottom half of bracket is a crap shoot. If MU finishes 6, 7, or 10 they have as good a shot as any to make the finals.
