I can see the place from my living room window, yet I'm actaully looking forward to NOT going to the game for the first time in a while. I still support the team and will watch on TV but why shell out the cash or even make the effort to attend in 10 degree weather given the product they put on the floor this year? NYC area alums need to send a message that this is unacceptable and sit this one out.

That'll improve this team. Good thinking.

That is your first post. Can't wait for the second.

Unacceptable how? New coach, new system, no returning height or experience.... with those facts, what is unacceptable or even different than reasonably expected? If you want to stay home and watch rather than drive 10 minutes, support your alma mater (if it is), meet up with other MU alum from the area... well, that says more about you than it does about the team.
Fairweather fans certainly have the right to be fairweather fans. I have zero respect for them...and I think most fans have zero respect for them. But they have that right!
SUPER STRONG TAEK DISCO

I'm still mulling over going but it has nothing to do with the team's performance this year. A noon game seems early to be making a hungover trek from the Upper East Side over to Newark when I can just order a bagel sandwich and watch from my couch.
I also dont understand who would be getting "the point" you are trying to make. You're going to "send a message" by not attending a road game and giving Seton Hall your ticket and concessions revenue?
Hey Disco, then freakin' don't go. And for that matter don't call yourself a fan. Crybox.
Didn't realize the game is gonna be played outside. Must be tough for all those NewYork/Jersey limp penises. Anyway I'll gladly pay ya Tuesday for a pair of size 12 Uggs shipped today, Bro.
I'll be at the game with the family. A fan whether we win or lose.
If you hear someone yelling "Miss it!" when Seton Hall is shooting free throws, it'll probably be my 13 year old.
The New York area fans will be there.
The people who only act like "fans" when the team is winning won't.
No matter.

You need to grow up and have a bloody at 11. Get to that game and pick up Disco on your way for penance.
I go to games in all the NYC venues and without a doubt Seton Hall has the most obnoxious fans in the area. At St. Johns I tend to have reasonable conversations with their fan base, win or lose. The Seton Hall fan base are a bunch of thugs, not sports fans. Villanova fans think they are ND, sort of above it all.
Damn, here I thought this was going to be about my dream of Bill Schroeder joining Brian Anderson on the call and spending half the game talking about which players would make the best catchers.

The bar around the corner from makes a bloody Sobleman's style with the slider garnishment. One of the managers is from Milwaukee so I've gotten them to hang up an MU flag inside. Sounds like a great pre-game stop idea esoteric. I can just throw rocks at disco's living room window until he decides to come down.
Do us all proud east coasters. Enjoy the game and the MU camaraderie.
As Yoda said: "Do or do not. There is no try." Support the team or don't. Why spendyour time trying to convince other fans (true fans) not to support the team? I have season tickets and drive up from Chicago for each home game. I will be at the last four too.
Go Marquette!

Curious. How many have you missed this year? Our drive is 100 miles one way and I think for the entire season we've missed 2-3. Our seats remained occupied as our daughter gladly accepts any we can't make.

I've missed more than that and i'm 1/10th of the distance you are from the BC. Good on you!

I missed one game when I had the flu. My drive is only 175 miles round trip. Go Marquette!

I went to all the games, some while I had the flu, and drive 176 miles.

I couldn't care less who goes or doesn't go to games, but starting a thread about not attending is pretty fucking stupid.

I would be very surprised if you live within eyesight of the Rock or went to MU.

Could you also kindly send a message to MUSCOOP by refraining from further posting?

Ha.
We had two intense SH fans sitting behind us. They left with 8mins to go in the game because they were so mad they were losing. I leaned to wife and said they obviously aren't familiar with MU this season. Glad we held on.
I had a good conversation during the game with an alum from Jersey who said he lived 15mins from The Rock and has two kids attend I4.
The team must have been playing harder to earn disco back
I left my Brooklyn apartment at 10:15, grabbed a bagel and coffee, took the subway to WTC, hopped on the PATH, met my buddy at the front door of the ROCK (native New Yorker... does not care about MU hoops, just a sports junkie who will go to any sporting event with me) and made it to our seats seconds before the tip. Tickets in row 20 in the corner were $15 on Stubhub. The Prudential Center is a very nice arena. Watched seven guys in Marquette uniforms play their butts off and saw an MU win. Celebrated across the street after with multiple glasses of Guinness. My favorite day of 2015 so far.
BTW, at three minutes to go, I told my buddy, "watch this, they are about to implode." He scolded me for being glass is half empty. A few minutes later he was looking at me like I was a witch. So glad they held on!
Drove down from MA for the game and got rewarded with a win (not that I wasn't cursing them silently the last 3 min.). We auslanders don't get to see that many games so I try to get to the ones I can. See you at the Dunk in a few weeks.
