Marquette is 2-4 lifetime against the Blue Devils, with obviously their last meeting being a year ago in Kansas City. Previous to that night, MU lost to Duke in the 1994 NCAA regional semifinals. For fun, here's the box score from that day.

Ugh...I was in Knoxville for that game...I remember we got out to a 10 point lead to start the game and went into halftime with a 1 point lead....I alsom remember Eford's awful shooting night....we could've won that game....still a great season though.
MU also got pretty close late in the second half IIRC. Weren't they down about 50-49, with Duke scoring the final 9 points.
That all being said, I think I'm going to go watch my tape of the MU - UK game that year to get ready for tonight!
Grant Hill cemented his legacy at Duke and his draft position that night almsot singlehandedly putting Duke on his back and carrying them to victory. Have never liked Duke and by extension their players, but I was very impressed by what Hill did that night.

I'll never forget Hill's dunk over Mac that night....probably was a charge but wow....that seemed to be the momentum shifter.
That was a blatant charge that the refs were so enamoured by Hill's athleticism they didn't call it.....HUGE momentum change. No ref on earth would call that anything but a charge but they swallowed the whistles.
Very frustrating.
I was there too, but I was only 6 at the time so I don't remember much. I guess I'm just a spoiled little kid who has had season tickets in the family since he was born and gets to go to all of their tournament games and now has his own student section tickets... :D
Heres a complete wiki entry for Marquette and Duke History... feel free to add more... I have the scores of every game and box scores for the last 2 games...

Was a freshman that year...the LAST of the Warrior class.
Relished Tony Miller going coast to coast.
Didn't relish GHill's dunk as if he slammed the ball one-handed as he grabbed it out of nowheresville.
I was at O'neill's last game, too. O'Neill got a piece of gum stuck in his hair that was thrown from the stands. The dunk was a dunk -get over it. Mac looked silly. MU jumped ahead 9-0 with 3s by Eford, Key and Logterman before I got to my seat.
Future Buck, Glenn Robinson, had a monster game against Kansas in the nightcap.
