Title: Creighton Fans on Scoop
Post by: brewcity77 on January 14, 2015, 11:05:35 PM
Your boys showed a lot of heart tonight. Took Fischer out of the game, fought back despite being short handed. Both teams had their share of offensive struggles, but that's a team that plays hard on the road and you should be proud of. Glad we got the win, but have a feeling it will be even harder when we get to Omaha.

Yeah they definitely fought hard and that is props to them.

They are really taking the gopher path so far this year with the 0-5 start and losing heartbreakers. I know how those feel.

Brutal basketball played by both teams for large stretches of the game, but MU made one more play. It's clear that the Jays need massive talent infusions at every position to play in this league. Just heartbreaking to lose back to back games on threes in the last seconds.

Still, proud of the guys for the way they compete. They may not be any good, but damn if there isn't something to be said for playing their asses off when they have every reason not to.

Lots of teams might pack it in when down 26-11 and you're already 0-4 in the league. This team won't.

Hats off to MU, and best of luck the rest of the way!

Totally agree CUJays.  It'll be a fun rivalry. Hopefully we both get better and battle at the top of the conference.  Come back here anytime.

It would've really sucked to be 0-2 against teams from Omaha. Happy to be 1-1.

(I still don't like them because of the way they handed our asses to us on their home floor to open the Big East last year while I was laying on the couch with the flu.)
