Title: Depaul V Creighton
Post by: Tugg Speedman on January 07, 2015, 08:08:20 PM
2 1/2 minutes into the game and Depaul's 6' 10" forward Forrest Robinson is 4 for 4 from three point land.  Overall Depaul is 5 for 5 from the field, all threes.  Leading 15 to 2. in Omaha.

Talk about a hot start!

Update, 5 minutes into the game and Robinson is now 5 for 5 from threes (15 points).  Depaul leading 20 to 5.

It's been a while since I've seen a start like this.

Up by 14 at the half.  Depaul on their way to 3-0.  How embarrassing for us to lose to them at home.

DePaul is the only undefeated Big East team and alone atop the standings 1/6 through the season.  That chill when you step outside...hell has frozen over and is filled with Blue Demons.

Extreme thaw out happening Saturday in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Year 5 for Purnell....sometimes you have to wait to judge a coach fully.   ;)

Some DePaul alums in the office have begun talking trash, in a bizarre, crouching, fetal position sort of way.  I do not know how to respond?

Their next 4 games are @Nova, Georgetown, St Johns, @Seton Hall

Anyone want to take bets on them still leading the conference and/or having a winning conference record come January 24th?

They have 1 NCAA tournament win in the last 25 years....although '86-'89 were vacated by the NCAA so....1 NCAA tournament win in the last 30 years.  but you should probably let them have their moment, it's been a rough stretch. ;-)

I think they can squeeze one win out of that bunch and be 4-3.

Good chance they can beat SJU at home.
