115th meeting.
Not even a blurb in the Chicago Tribune. DePaul has fallen waaaaay off the radar.
Also found it interesting that Purnell has beaten MU four times in his career.

As a Chicago resident I can say that almost nobody here even knows they've started playing this year. College sports period are not very popular and DePaul basketball is barely qualifying as a college sport the last few decades.

True; but even without the popularity of college sports here, ND and Illinois b-ball, and even Northwestern now, seem to get more coverage. DePaul gets about the same (maybe a little more) as UIC and Loyola.

The article says Purnell is 4-10 against MU. It also says that MU has won 12 of the last 14 in the series. If those are both correct, Purnell must have beaten Marquette twice while at Clemson or elsewhere.
I remember attending a Depaul - Marquette game at the AllState where Depaul beat Marquette while Purnell was the coach. Maybe 3 years ago... It was also the worst college basketball game ever played in the history of western civilization.

Does DePaul even know?

12 of the last 14....and 35 of the last 42.
Purnell also beat Marquette in 2000-01 and 2002-03 when he was the coach at Dayton.

Relinking the Paint Touches article because it's a good one.
Hopefully, Wojo plays up the pace-of-play angle when trying to scare the team. MU can easily handle DePaul in the half court. Just limit the run outs. Offensive boards will be important.
