Title: Who's making the trip to Rosemont tomorrow?

Hopefully we have a pretty good MU contingent tomorrow.

Can't make it, but looking forward to hearing the usual "this is our house" cheer on TV as we're running out the clock.

Edit:  Looking at the seat map at DePaul's website makes it look like a small crowd.  Still lots of good lowers available, and the upper level is 3/4 empty.

I like being able to watch the five opening Big East games. To go to the DePaul game means I would have to give up watching at least two of the other games, so I will be staying home.

To think it only used up about half of the men's bb marketing budget for this season.

I will be at the DePaul game with a buddy. Sitting in second to last row on left behind our bench section.  Go  Marquette !  These away DePaul games always worry me.

I cannot help thinking that the loser of this game finishes in last place. I do not know how we win a Big East road game, if we cannot win at DePaul.

I'll be there with a number of MU fans.  Great tickets at reasonable prices.  I figure may as well go.

I hear ya.  I got invited to the Super Bowl last year, but I passed on it because I didn't want to miss all the cool commercials.

Sadly I'll be working a short drive away from the Allstate Arena.
First game @DePaul I've missed since 2000.

Marquette has won several Big East road games in seasons in which they've lost at DePaul.

Plenty of face value tix at http://www.depaulbluedemons.com/tickets/depa-m-baskbl-tickets.html (you have to scroll down to find individual games), but it's probably worth checking stubhub or vividseats to see if you can get anything under face.

I have watched several DePaul games already this year.  I honestly haven't the faintest clue as to why and/or how Oliver Purnell and Jean Lenti-Ponsetto still have their jobs.  DePaul has not made any improvements under Purnell, and the future looks even weaker.  He hasn't recruited well and he hasn't coached up any of the players he gets.  I count Billy Garrett Jr., their one solid player, as an exception because he hired Billy Garrett Sr. as an assistant coach.

I used to feel bad for DePaul because they could never get it together in the Old Big East.  Now, with just 10 teams in the conference, we need every team to play well in order for the conference to succeed.  They have become an anchor to the other 9 schools in mens basketball.

My hope is that they are waiting to clean house in preparation for their new stadium opening (which is still not near campus, but hopefully they can get more than 1,200 people at games).  My fear is that Ponsetto has a job for life, and that she will continue to drain the resources for mens basketball into all of the other womens sports.

Best deal is on the Depaul website for sure after looking through other sites, although that could change as it gets closer.

Anyone know what the parking is like at Allstate?

Will be there with a crew of 13 strong and meeting another group with 4 others!  Great seats lower level for a bargin off the DePaul site.

On-site parking is ample but costly, probably $20 per car.
Would recommend riding in someone's trunk.
Did that for INXS at the old Horizon in 1988, worked out fine.

Do people park elsewhere?  Or is that about the only option?   Other than the shuttle from the alumni event.

I strongly suggest you use the 20 bucks to attend the pregame festivities at Toby Keith's.  You get food, a ride to and from the game, and your parking validated.

I like the South Loop as much or more than the next guy, but I don't see any improvement due to the arena change.  The Alumni don't live downtown so Rosemont is probably better as is.  As for the students... still a long red line/green line trip back to Lincoln Avenue.

DePaul gets a new venue, but changes nothing.

DePaul students live all over the city not just around campus.  Very different than MU like that

So probably just as many out west as in the South Loop?

If I had to guess, most Depaul students live in Lincoln Park just off of the Fullerton red line stop. I always see them over there in those apartments.

Probably I have tons of friends who went to depaul who stayed in oak park, my ex girlfriend and her friends lived up by loyola despite being depaul students. I had an intern from oak lawn who goes to depaul and lives down there. It's more of a commuter school

Excited to paint the place gold!
