And seeing the way SG came off the bench to high five his teammates suggests his knee is pretty stable.

He's been shooting and doing some light jogging from what I heard. Rosiak's blog I believe.  Hopefully he'll be back and healthy around the start of conference season.  He played a couple games on a sore knee. Let's get him healthy and see what the kid can do on a good one.

Did Fitz attempt a shot today?  They looked so out of it.  I would assume that has to do with playing before noon.  DJ's shot is so bad.  He's falling away from the hoop, not squared up.  He takes his time, and follows through, but the results are putrid.

Fitz played 15 minutes and didn't attempt a single shot or have a single free throw.

A lot of open shots missed today.  Fitz concerns me most.  He is a liability defensively... if he will not take shots then don't play him.  Hopefully he will have that break out game to give him some confidence... the boy can shoot it.

Marquette should always have Fitz (assuming he will shoot) or Cubillan in the game.  Without those two, there is no one who can hit one from beyond 17 feet.

Fitz looked really out of it today - no shots, and his defense was just absent.  I guess he needed to be in there to give hayward etc a breather, but it was a detriment today having him on the floor.  Very unlike Fitz to be so off.

Defense reigned supreme today - our shooting was scary - James needs to start hitting his shots - we need someone hitting some 3s to open up the paint.  But we won - the LSU/OK game is excellent - very fast, atheltic teams and it's a 3 pt gmae right now - LSU was down 21!

I can't believe I'm saying this.

Kinsella's graduation is hurting our outside game  ;)

Cubillan definitely has the best shot on the team imo... and I played guard in basketball, and had a stroke (least what I tended to believe), his shot just takes forever to go up, he takes a long time.  James is disgusting, it looks like he tries to jump so hard.  My call, let Cube shoot the threes, the rest, drive.

I agree, we need some better shooting but watching Oklahoma State play it was evident they were overplaying the passing lanes, which may have been because LSU was shooting fairly well. (Especially in the 2nd half)  That all being said the middle of the lane was very open and would allow for alot of slip screens, dribble penetration, or somebody flashing to the high post (ie lazar) which would benefit us.  Who knows they may sag off and dare us to shoot (which is what i would do) but either way we need to show up for these last 2 games and make a statement.  Duke looked very good.

Now, who to cheer for:  Bachelors from Marquette, Masters from OkState...Go Marquette.
