Title: Biggest upset today?
Post by: tower912 on December 06, 2014, 08:27:21 PM
North Florida over Purdue?
NJIT over Michigan?
South Carolina Upstate over Georgia Tech?
St. John's over Syracuse?

I love college basketball.

Big 10 and ACC are weak this year.  A few good teams in each conference at the top and a lot of junk at the bottom.  Even Syracuse is down this year.

SJU over Cuse should not have been an upset. Cuse returned very little from last year. They are pretty bad. Too many freshmen and sophomores.

I love the St. Johns win over "New York's College Team".

Since we are talking conferences did anyone else see how the Big 12 only beat the SEC 5-4 in the challenge?  Some predicted the Big 12 was supposed to be the top league from top to bottom.  SEC has improved somewhat compared to recent years.

Speaking of which, nice win for Xavier over Alabama today.  Marquette was the only losing side for the BEast today (6-1, incl. 3-1 vs. B10, and wins over SEC and ACC).

Easily NJIT.  24.5 point dogs and the lone conference-less team.

Though only 11.5 point dogs and picked to win their conference, runner up to GB for winning by 13 at previously undefeated #15 Miami.

Another good day for the BE (aside from us).  Too bad Providence lost to BC last night.  Big game for Creighton at Nebraska tomorrow night.

The SEC has a massive amount of talent coming in in the 2015 class. Kentucky and Florida are obviously getting theirs, but also non-basketball powers Texas A&M, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and South Carolina are all projected to have top 30 classes. Half the conference in the top 30 classes? Wow.
