...Virginia tech lost to Appalachian State. Usually I'm the last to bring up Buzz Williams comparisons, but desperate times call for desperate measures
Ha ha good one!!!!
We needed that....
Makes me feel a bit better, but not by much.
Doesn't help me....
Don't give a chit.

Some boards had us at 17.5 points, too. Misery loves company. The second half spread was 11.

So Bert had fewer eyewitnesses?

Please lament this with the fact that Omaha is a Division II team.
There D1. There in the Summit League.

No ..... they're a transition Division II team. Ineligible to play in any postseason until 2017, which is when they will officially be Division I.

My comment clearly went straight over your head.

No .... Omaha isn't a Division I school ...... yet. They can't play in NCAA tournament or Summit League conference tournament. 2017 is when they'll be eligible. Currently they're in the transition from Division II to Division I.

Not that it matters, but they are definitely DI. They are playing a D1 schedule in a D1 conference. They're D1, just not eligible yet.

From what I see... they only have about 5-6 scholarship players. That's not a DI team in my book.

They have 9 scholarship players

They are considered a D1 team

The Omaha Mavericks are the sports teams of the University of Nebraska Omaha.
They participate in the NCAA's Division I and in The Summit League, except in ice hockey, where they compete in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
We have enough to worry about. Whatever Williams does means absolutely nothing to me.

No, they are a Division 1 provisional team. Much higher then a d2 school.
The team has nothing more than 2 star recruits on it with an RPI of 252 that can't play in the postseason. 2.5 years ago they were in Division II Bottom line is that this is the worst loss in history or close to it. Wojo was outcoached.

They played in the post season (CIT) last season, and got to the 2nd round.

CIT is only tournament they're eligible for. Conference and NCAA they are not until 2017.

The NCAA is including them in THEIR RPI rankings because they are DI.
Does it matter - crap performance against a crap team.
Who?

Fun fact Davante was a 2 star. Makes that first point of yours invalid.

Thus, your earlier point that they weren't eligible for post season was incorrect. As was your comment about them being a Division 2 team and your comment that they only had 5 or 6 scholarship players.
