The good news is even though the have some size they don't use it.
They just jack 3s and hope they go in lol. Having lost a lot they definitely don't look to impressive but if they get hot(and the way teams seemingly do vs us) they will be frustrating to play.
In other words, they'll get hot based on our poor defense. Actually, Creighton may be one of the teams we can beat in this conference. They lost everything from last year's solid team.
Im watching them right now. Chatman is the only player worth a DAM. Man this creighton team looks really bad.

Ya chatman is actually a really nice player he can get in lane at will. Brooks ain't terrible. I remember kreklow looking solid last year on cal but he looks awful here.
They have size but everyone but Artino just looks for a 3 lol
Should also add that OK is a very good team.
Well, at least we won't be the only BE team with a loss after tonight. Bad news is the BE will be 0-2 so far against teams worth a damn.
And there is the hot shooting.
21-2 run and 5/6 on 3s in second half.

If only we could shoot like that.
Two JUCOs and three transfers on their roster. Squirmy

It's a lot easier for teams to get hot when you play defense like we did for certain stretches last night.
Now creighton is ice cold again.
Oklahoma looking bad too.
Zierden is a legit shooter.
Don't see their team as very good though. Can have their nights, but overall.. rough going...

They will be tough at their place. Great crowd and better chance to get hot.
I'd be disappointed with a BC loss though. Especially since Luke is well back by then.
Creighton 65
Oklahoma 63 Final

Burp. Way to rep the BE, Bluebirds.
Good win for conference.
Creighton was a home run for the conference. Between McDermott's run last season, and tonight's upset of Oklahoma, it's clear that they are currently a major player in college basketball. Throw in the fact that they're a Jesuit institution in a big city, it's a perfect fit.
Way to go Jays!
What a game! Go Jays!

usually a good idea to hold off judgements at the half.

Nah....unless there were squirmy actions to get them there......
Still no comments from mr. Run and hide about squirmy Crean and IU. Its like the logorrhea was cured for a week.

Yet, this violates your rule of having only four year program players with a few exceptions. Just wondering how a team and school of the academic reputation of a Creighton can have nearly 40% of their scholarships spent on transfers, on their roster and still be unsquirmy? Color me confused.
You actually think you are going to get the truth from chicos? He is a chameleon and will lie and twist truths to support his anti MU agenda. Without character in a quest to make everything about him, the worst kind of troll

Congrats on the win Jet. Great win for Creighton and for the Big East as well.
Squimy? Hey Chicos Tom Crean needs help in the tape room go get your shine box and meet him there.

Show me my rule where I ever said 4 year only players on the team. Search function is up on the right side to get you started.

Agree with every point but one. Having been to Omaha, calling it a "big city" is extremely generous.
It's like a more boring Grand Rapids.

Well, the metro area populations for both are ranked in the 50s nationally. Boring, maybe. Small, no.
Omaha is small and boring. JUCOs should be avoided. Some are wonderful, but too many are disasters. No need to play on that roulette table.
End of thread.

I voted acceptable.
However, the problem with your poll is that it doesn't stipulate how many, how it imbalances classes, etc, etc. In general, sure they are fine. When you have 40%+ of your roster in that situation, that's not good. 80% as you threw out yesterday, would completely destabilize your recruiting efforts. You don't seem to think those things through for whatever reason.
Mr. Search Function: Show me where I quoted The Chico's Rule was for four year ONLY players? Your Squirm-o-Meter is in dire need of recalibration with each changing day as we had a whole thread on "transfers" only a short time ago--see Creighton, IU.

Thinking about JJJ, Carlino, and perhaps Cohen, I think that you could say the same about MU.

Some of this is a little extreme. They are great for our conference but a major player in college bball? You kinda need consistent March success for that label. McDermott's run last season end up more a personal feat...they were bounced quickly again.
For the BE to be successful. Some of the other 6 need to gain some consistency to meet MU, Gtown, Nova and XU. And gtown needs to stop getting upset themselves.
