Watching Wojo on the sideline, and seeing his profile on the Inside Marquette Basketball video, he seems like a real scrapper - which I love. In public I think he's shown a very calm demeanor, but you can see that floor slapper is still there watching him coach. I didn't think a coach could get much scrappier than Buzz, who attempted to personify the rag tag, hustle til you drop, make something out of nothing human being. But I think Wojo might be more of the real deal.
Anyway, fun question for the night...who would win in a street fight, Buzz or Wojo?
I think I'd actually take Wojo. And I don't say that just because Buzz is gone, I still really like Buzz and always will. But I think Wojo is the real deal. Although I think the fight would probably get ugly, as neither guy would ever want to give in and once they wore themselves out they'd go into one of those Greco Roman style "we're too tired to fight so we're just going to stand here hanging on to each other" type hugs/locks until the fight was broken up.
Wojo would have more endurance, and I would think is quicker. But Buzz would sit on Wojo. KO.
I'll bite, Wojo would beat the hell out of Buzz. I loved Buzz, but he's a paunchy, toothless hillbilly. Wojo is an athlete.
Posed this to a buddy. Answer: Wojo. Wojo would be willing to kill. Buzz wouldn't. Wojo shouldn't stop until he was dead or had killed Buzz.
shouldn't = wouldn't (can't edit on my mobile)
Wojo.
I'll play. Wojo. Not even close.

Absolutely. Buzz is no wimp, but Wojo is younger, more athletic, and tough as nails.
The way Wojo beats the hell out of the floor, gotta give him the edge.
Wow. A clear consensus for Wojo.
You guys know that this thread may keep Buzz in his panic room the entire season, right?
But how many 5 year olds could wojo take in a fight?
seriously... you do realize that Buzz is not our coach anymore and no longer is affiliated with our school right? This reminds me of my stoned high school friends contemplating how a tiny seed grows into a big tree. I can only pray you're as high as they were.
This is the stupidest topic of the year if not all of scoops existence. That is the poll that I think needs to be taken.
Wojo would shoot the 3, Bumstead would do the paint touch thing, aina?

The only paint touch thing Buzz could do, is the Texas Two Step in the paint.
Wojo would be kicking Buzz' azz up and down the street but then Buzz would pull a Ric Flair, on his knees, begging for his life, offer his hand in friendship and when Wojo closes in to shake, Buzz pokes Wojo in the eyes (painful and disorienting), gives Wojo a couple piledrivers and finishes him off with the figure four leg lock, forcing Wojo to submit. Clearly, this is exactly the way it would go.
Buzz would crap his pants just as Wojo was about to hit him and then run away looking for a ballboy to clean it up. Advantage-Wojo.
Fight: Wojo.
Filibuster: Buzz.

And then maybe a Generation X move?

Wojo in a slap fight hands down.

That's a damn high bar you've set.
Mini-Ditka.
My friends.
I see Bert as a brawler. He'd take a knock to the head and bounce up ready for blood. I can see Bert getting angry, with a shiteaten' grin and blood trickling down his mouth.
Wojo .. I don't see him getting mad .. he strikes me as a possible skilled pugilist, using speed to dodge Bert's meat hooks, but eventually Bert would fight dirty, tackle him and sit on him.
The fight would back and forth, blow for blow, a draw on all cards...and eventually Buzz would feel disrespected and quit.

Winner
I hate to say it, but I think Buzz would win. Growing up poor, Buzz probably knows how to fight. Also, Buzz got pretty jacked last season.

This makes no sense.
Buzz would turtle until Wojo wore himself out. Then get someone else to fight for him. Its hard to get blood off gucci.
Wojo was a D1 athlete. He's just as intense if not moreso than Buzz. My money is on Wojo all day long. Not sure but did Buzz even play sports?
Not that fighting has anything to do with sports. Buzz would need too many sweet tea breaks to last.

Close..... be it either by luck or some other fortunate circumstances, Buzz will land a few good shots - to the surprise every one of us (except Chicos, of course, who will pontificate about waiting until the fifth round to make any judgments) - thus making Buzz think that he's king of the world. But slowly, Buzz will come to the realization that he simply has neither the depth of character nor the endurance to both keep the fight going
and continue counting the number of seconds that have elapsed since the fight began, and that's when he'll quit under the guise of disrespect, slinking out between rounds when he thinks no one will notice that it's him running away from the ring with his head covered by a towel being held by his manager Goodman.
