Also, for those who say he can't score. Leading Scorer with 24. As Funk said: Jimmy could be the leading scorer this year. Pay the 12 million!!

I'm guessing he didn't get the word that he's "offensively challenged". ;)
Exciting. I didn't realize he still plays for Marquette

Yeah it's not its a marquette forum run by and dominated by alumni for marquette basketball but strangely enough alumni care about MU basketball alumni to!
Did D Rose sprain the smooth part that makes him a Ken doll?jB is a grown ass man. Numba 1 is a legend in his own mind.

I'll never understand why people waste the time to read and post in threads that annoy them.
I would love to see Jimmy be more consistent from the perimeter this season. He's the best on the team at drawing contact and getting to the line although his usage was probably a bit higher tonight with Rose and Gibson out.
I'd be thrilled if he averaged 14-16 per game this year.

DRose hasn't learned his lesson.
His game is much like early DWade's: play hard, fast, and a bit reckless.
DWade has learned to pace himself.
DRose has not.

He has yet to show he can do it efficiently and consistently. If he shows that this season, pay him. If he can't, let another team overpay him. Its that easy.

I would love to see Marquette topics in the Al forum. I mean, why don't we have constant Chris Crawford updates.
Superbar, fine. But I come here to avoid the joke that is the NBA

Cool. I'll make you a deal. Don't click on any of the threads that are about Marquette alums in the NBA and we won't make you read them.
Seems like a great deal for both sides ;D

You know how much people would be complaining if there was a thread about DWade hitting a game winner.

probably only 2
To clarify: Jimmy hit two FREE THROWS with 0.2 sex left to win by 1.
Thibodeau said JB was invaluable in the post-game interview. But not 12 million?

Burks and Walker got 40 and 48 mil.
Jimmy is going to get paid. Bulls now made it so they have to match a potentially bigger offer. They messed up.
This season is only going to raise his demand.

Does the presence of posts about MU alumni in the Al forum slow down your computer? Or do those posts just slow down your brain?
If you don't like them, don't read them. Jeesh, how is that complicated?

You think you would be happy it was in the AL since all but 1 of your last 25 posts (not counting these three insightful contributions) were in the superbar.
Here are some quotes from Jimmy regarding the contract situation:
With a lot of athletes I would say "eh", but I tend to believe Jimmy.
"People say I'm chasing money when that's not it — yeah, get your mic closer — that's not it, because I'm going to be in Chicago,'' Butler said Saturday. "I'm not worried about it. I say that with a smile on my face because I know that for a fact. We'll resume [negotiations] in July.''
The new TV deal has players and agents feeling as if the payroll is about to jump quickly. So rather than settle, Butler's camp decided to weigh the odds and play the market.
"Yeah, [the deadline is] over with, but this is still home, these are still my guys,'' Butler said. "This is the team I want to be on, this is the city I want to represent. So I'm happy, and I'll be happy for a long time.''
He pretty much has to say that he wants to stay in Chicago even though he turned down the offer. Any other comment would basically alienate the team and the fans. I think he is doing the right thing by waiting and testing his value on the open market, but it puts him in slightly awkward position. Personally I kind of hope he moves on to another team.

I can't believe you would have "sox" in your username. This is a Marquette forum
People are really sensitive around here.
Think Jimmy's the one DJO was referring to in his ominous tweet about an MU player having changed since college?!

As a Bulls fan I hope he stays. Plus, I don't think there's a better marriage of player and coach in the entire league. He has played incredible D, no doubt, but if he hadn't have been playing for Thibs he wouldn't have gotten near the minutes he got.
