Amazing article.

I could not be happier with Coach Wojo, and he hasn't even coached a single game. I don't care if he never wins a game, I will forever be in support of Marquette's decision to hire Wojo. He is the exact coach we needed at the exact time.

Ring Out Ahoya!

0-30 just stinks. Not to me ruin the probable exhibition loss to Wisconsin Lutheran.

Of course, but it isn't something I'm worried about. In fact, I've posted it before that I have a very hard time seeing a lineup of Dawson/Derrick/Duane at the 1, Carlino/Duane at the 2, STJ and ultimately Fischer down low can't be a VERY competitive team in the new Big East. I honestly, sincerely do not think that an NCAA big is totally out of the question.

great article...not trying to hijack the thread, but the quote from cords, "One of the things that stood out to us was Steve's loyalty," Cords said. "It's not 'this is my dream job' and 'I'm going to be here forever.' You hear that a lot. He never said that. All he said was he was glad to be here, he wanted to be here, and he wants to do good things here. His loyalty is unquestioned."....interesting.

Carrawell's quote is interesting too. "We love Duke, of course. But, we love Marquette more."

Said about every coach when the similar type article came out......cue the "he gets it".

I agree with you, enjoy the ride (especially if he keeps the program away from squirmy town which I have no doubt he will)....if and when he leaves is out of anyone's control.  Won't know how good he is for 5 years anyway.    ;)

Is this the same guy who wrote the profile about Buzz a few years ago, where Buzz said that his team was more athletic than the badgers so they should f with them?

Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh.  From what I read about Wojo in this article and how he responded to being told he was going to be a back-up, I can see him fueling Wally's fire with this.
