Whenever they have a hat presentation we always lose.
This would have been the time where the recruit would have actually grabbed the Marquette hat
We already got our hat presentation with Haanif.
Ellenson was too busy hanging out at the ice cream truck.
nm
i thought the coolest thing about all this was there was no hat presentation. the MKE reporter with rice lake roots broke the story, and henry showed he didn't need the cameras. i don't mind a kid celebrating one of the biggest moments in his life, but i like that ellenson didn't need the cameras in his face.
Nope.
As someone in the #donedeal thread said, it's a nice change how Henry made his announcement. This way it was some very nice, and unexpected timing-wise, news.

Didnt you read the JS Online comments? HE is a selfish person that is all about being the center.

Not unexpected to all. The following are from early September.
TAMU: I feel more and more confident every day that Henry will be a Warrior. I'm predicting an early October announcement.
BrandX: Same here. First half of October.
No.
What happens to the hats that don't get picked? Do they return them to Lids, give them to Goodwill, or is there some massive hat exchange so hats not chosen get sent to other recruits considering those schools? :o
Yep. Saw a kid in Nicaragua with the Iman Shumpert MU hat on, he was wearing a Patriots 19-0 t-shirt too.
Thought it was classy that he didn't do the hat thing.
I have no problem one way or the other. If a kid wants a press conference fine. If not fine. As a fan, both have there good points.
Press conferences build anticipation, give fans something to look forward to, and let's them know when to hang around their computer. There's also something nice about the surprise commitment that comes without a press conference.
One of the best days in MU fandom was when Dominic James had his presser. While waiting around for the PC to start to see if James would choose MU or Purdue --Bam!!-- Jerel McNeal commits out of the blue. James committed a short time later. A great day for MU and tons of excitement brought on by both commits. Each one happened in a different way but they were both equal in my mind in terms of excitement.

;D
They could have had Buzz commenting on Henry, and then you would have had an "asshat" presentation.
Well, being an alum I would have appreciated the president calling me personally before giving it to the press. Really makes me question the school's priorities.
(No teal needed)

Understand how you feel. Back in the days before e-mail, I wrote many letters to Cords about the Dukiet fiasco--they were all unanswered, until the day the Piano man was dumped, I did receive a letter from him advising me that the change had been made. And I am not a MU alum. Cords did have class.
You should have been notified personally. If Cords is not too busy these days, maybe he could do it.
Kenosha never fails to entertain.

Post of the week?
Not at all. Actually found it refreshing.

Nice to see two of my favorite posters get it right! Way to go, guys!!
