Next year #mubb will field possibly the most heralded team since the '70s. And it's entirely possible that the Captain will come off the bench in a support role. Steve is an intelligent, dedicated young man who will have a critical leadership role in getting the best out of his teammates. It's a role he is familiar with as he served as Jabari's friend and older role model in HS. I'll bet he'll be a great leader getting the best out of the blue bloods with him on the floor. He did it a Simeon. He'll do it as a Senior at Marquette. Looking forward to seeing those leadership tendencies beginning to emerge this year.
I'm not sure he will come off the bench. Big Daddy described Steve as "being ready to paint his masterpiece" this season. We might see a massive starting lineup with Steve, Henry, and Luke all in there. Or maybe Henry will come off the bench. Not uncommon for star freshman to get big minutes but not necessarily start.

I think Henry plays the 3 more than we think while Teve* is here. I think Luke and Hedlt will hold down the 5, Teve and some Henry at the 4 and a lot of Henry at the 3(with some Wally and Cohen mixed in).
I could see a starting line-up of Duane, Cohen, Henry, Teve, and Fischer (just sickeningly awesome when it sinks in)
*I hate that I created this, but one must embrace the suck

Damn it, you are right, I forgot about Burton....he plays the 2 or the 3....Cohen would be out in that line-up then.
I do think next year our leading score could average less than 30 minutes, and we'd still be one of the highest scoring MU teams in the history of the university.
I guess I wasn't so much interested in discussing who plays what position or how much but whether Steve's quiet leadership can inspire young talented underclassman to give it their best. Some athletes are great; some can make others great. I thought one of the failings of last year's team was the lack of true leadership. I know that guys like Burton and JJJ will be junior leaders but '15-'16 needs to be Steve's team. I personally think he's up to it.
