I forget - Can he not comment yet on verbal commitments until they actually sign?

Correct, can't comment until they sign.

Interesting comment from Kuykendall at the beginning of the presser: "There is one person here today that can comment about any potential recruits. And if you can figure that out, you're more than welcome to talk with him about it."
Any idea who/what he's talking about?

I'm guessing Wally can talk about Henry (and his recruitment) since they're brothers.
Any way I can watch it from the beginning? Liked what he said about it being a new start for everyone and everybody is looking forward.

Yeah, hit play.

That makes sense...although that would just be about one recruit. But, given the timing of the presser and the stature of Henry, that's the one that most would want to talk about.
"First and Foremost, (starting spots) are earned in practice. Positions are earned, not given." I like that philosophy. If I heard right, the team's "phrase" this year is "Let's Eat." I hope Wojo can keep the Warriors hungry all year.

makes sense - now that Davante has graduated, they don't have to set such strict diet guidelines for the team.

I believe Buzz also followed that. Remember starting spots are earned in practice and not on the MUscoop board.
The only thing Buzz followed was the truck blaring Slim Whitman music in Mars Attacks!

That will make some here very unhappy.
Wojo wants guys who can play and defend more than one position. Sounds like we're still in the switchable business.

Of course we are. You don't plug players into prototypical 1-5 roles anymore. When you have big guys that can shoot and run the floor, and 6'6" wings that handle like a point guard, it only opens up options for you.
If you read the article PT just ran on Duane Wilson, you get a sense for what Wojo is trying to do. He is going to play off the ball, but he is going to handle the ball plenty of times in this offense.

Oh, I agree. Pretty much everyone has accepted that idea.

Yep. If you want guys in your program that have aspirations to play in the league, they have to be versatile, and you have to put them in a position to utilize and showcase that versatility. Of course, it also leads to wins on the court. So it only makes all the sense in the world.
So we can thank Shabazz for our team's motto this year, aina?

I thought they meant that because Davante graduated, there is actually enough food for the rest of the team to eat.
I kid. I love Davante.
