Title: Sports Illustrated MU preview

I'm sure SJS will object to their classification of our non-conference schedule.

From SI

Hoping to avoid a repeat of last season's swoon, when the Golden Eagles dropped six of their final nine games and lost to Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA tournament, coach Tom Crean introduced a twist during preseason training: taekwondo workouts.

Wait a minute, don't they know Jerel was out for all of those losses...what he was only out for 2 of the 6 losses?  Maybe we do swoon late in the season?  Gee that's never been suggested.

Also, why Taekwondo?  Why is it always something with TC?  $41,000 air chamber...Taekwondo...Tony LaRussa...it's always something.  Whatever happened to just coaching 'em up?

He needs something to tell the media so they'll continue to eat what he's giving them, rather than scraping it off the bottom of their shoes.

(Sorry Hilltopper).

That preview lost credibility when I discovered that Rutgers was apparently kicked out of the BE as they are listed in the nonconference portion of our schedule.  Someone should let them know that they are no longer in. ::)

While it's true because we start different lineups, they also list us with 6 returning starters.  Maybe that's the secret to Crean's success - sneaking an extra player on the court :)

She seemed kind of harsh, but its probably good to see the team through a non-Marquette fan perspective.

Look at that non-conference schedule again....Feb. 23 Rutgers...I didn't know they were kicked out of the Big East... That's a backhanded slap to them.
