I feel very strange posting on here to people that I really only my screen name but felt the need to reach out to the Scoop family. A few of you I either know in real life or have spoken to on the phone or met for a beer and others just by your posts. The prayer request is for the loss of my brother in law and dear friend over the weekend while competing in bike race. He leaves behind two young sons and a fantastic wife. My brother in law and his family have long, long MU ties and this is a loss for anyone that knew him. Please remember his family, my wife, her siblings and her Mom in your prayers.
In addition, I want to add another side note that shows the greatness of Marquette University and what it really means to me. My daughter plays on the Marquette Women's soccer team and I went to get her from mini camp this morning and tell her the news. The outpouring of love shown by the team and coaching staff touched me beyond belief. The Women's soccer program and entire place is a special place.
Again, I feel uncomfortable posting this but in a weird way makes the pain a little less.
Prayers up.
Larry
You are a good man. Still remember your post regarding my Dad passing away. Too soon the sun sets in the west.
My condolences to you and your family on your loss.
My prayers to you and your family, Goose.
Terribly sorry to hear this, Goose. God offers strength.

I don't pray often, but I will today.
Your family is is my thoughts and prayers, Goose.
Keefe,
My in laws are your kind of people completely. High IQ, world travels and adventure seekers. Quick cool story, about five years ago my father in law and another brother both happened to be Kenya the same week on unrelated business trips. At last family reunion they had one son fly in from Indonesia, a daughter from London and father in law from Jordan. Very interesting be a small part of a great family.
I'll get the Holy Spirit on your side. Peace to you and your family.
Sorry to hear about the loss. Prayers for you and the family.

Not sure if I got back to you but Lyle lit up when I mentioned your family to him. He said he really enjoyed working with the whole team. Lyle said when your dad gave his word it was rock solid - a rarity in today's business world.

Very nice to hear that about my Dad. He was a Hall of Famer type guy and knew how to work a crowd.
All the best Goose. It sounds like you have a great family and hopefully everyone's love and support will pull you through this together. God bless.
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. And let perpetual light shine upon them. Amen.
So very sorry Joe, hope you find comfort in the smiles, laughter, and good times you all shared.

Thanks. Clarification it was my wife's brother. I do have another somewhat famous brother in law at MU and he is alive and doing very well. Just enjoyed his company on the golf course last week.

Goose - Sorry to hear of the tragic loss in your family. You and family are in my thoughts and prayers and obviously you have a lot of love here - so the prayer line on your family's behalf should be quite busy and powerful.
Goose, doing what I can. For sure, from God's standpoint, this is long distance, but all the best to the survivors.

Prayers will be said tonight before bed for your sister, their sons, and the families and friends he knew and was connected with.
May peace be with you all.
We have a short time here and it sounds like he lived every minute. From the sounds of it, he doesn't need the prayers so I will offer mine to his family and friends who will deeply miss his minutes he bestowed on them.
Goose,
Thank you for overcoming your discomfort and allowing us to share in your loss and this story of a life so well lived. My prayers go out to you, your family, and especially your brother in law's wife and son that you all find the strength you'll need to handle such a large void, coming so unexpectedly.
Goose:
God be with you and your family during this troubling time. Things that happen during our life's journey are sometimes very difficult to understand.
I pray for peace to you and your family in this time off loss. My sincere condolences.
Request granted. Prayers to you and family
Prayers up to your family Goose, God Bless!!!
God bless you and your family.
I want to thank all of you for the kind words. Your comments literally put a very big smile of my wife's face. She has laughed at me for years for talking to complete strangers about MU basketball under the alias of Goose and thought I was a complete nut. After reading the responses she could not believe how kind people can be in difficult times. Scoop really is a special place:)
Again, thank you very much.
May you, your family, and friends, find strength to help you through this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers coming from JD.
Your whole family is in our prayers.
