I saw Swansea vs SJ Earthquakes.
Always a nice day to watch another side from across the ocean despite it not being the main guys.
Wondering if Jonathan De Guzman is going to suit up. The roster on the website indicates he won't. Who knows.
Chivas is always a good look. Huge Mexican fan base.
Enjoy whoever goes!

How was it?
Fun time last night at the baseball ground. :)
Heavily pro-Chivas crowd, but 31k+ last night. Pitch held up very well, I was concerned about the infield areas but no issues there. The game itself was a little cagey. Swansea were by far the better side, but Chivas bullied them physically. Referee had a nightmare... missed a clear penalty for Swansea, sent off two players for a shoving match, and then gave a dodgy penalty in the 91st minute, which Chivas converted. Finished 1-1.
Definitely a smaller pitch, especially width wise. It was a great atmosphere. I sat in 229 (up the 3rd base line) and it felt like I was right on top of the mid-field. As reported Chivas dominated the fan-bases but a lot of neutral observers decked out in every known kit too.
Will be interesting to see who they get next year. I wonder if the field dimensions will turn off a top-flight Euro club.
Did CDG play with their A side?
Swansea played with their B side, right?
Chivas played their A side in the first half. Played their B side in the second.
Overall it was a pretty even match, maybe a slight advantage to Swansea, but both teams definitely had their moments.
Good crowd, it was a fun atmosphere. I am sure that the event will be viewed as a success by MLS and the Brewers.
My guess is, they'll have more soccer games in the future.
