.....not that I even remotely share that side of the political aisle, but in his day job, bamamarquettefan was the political consultant/consulting firm whose candidate knocked Eric Cantor out of yesterday's Congressional primary in Virginia.

bamamarquettefan = John Pudner.
BMA is someone else.
I'll be damned. I imagine his phone is busy this morning. Now he'll be able to feed his 24 kids for another election cycle.

Yup. Started getting the emails from Bama about 45 minutes before they called the race. Amazing job by him. I think what happened with the immigration dumping certainly didn't hurt and his candidate was smart to seize on it. Good for Bama.
Pudner's stats posts were some of the best in scoop history. Wish he had time to post here more often.
Interesting. As someone who's just beginning to work in campaign management it'd be fun to someday find myself in a race against his firm. I respect the heck out of the guy and think it'd be a good challenge.
He just got some love from Charlie Sykes.
Nice Job Bama.
Nice article about Bama

Great job eating our own, defeating an intellectual heavy weight and destroying Rs chances in 2016
No but seriously, heck of a win
Seems like Cantor thought his national profile would carry him to the general election. His constituents didn't agree.

America was built on eating its own.
Rinse. Recycle. Repeat.
Cantor had a 30% approval rate in his own district. And he couldn't attack his opponent's radical views because the edges are the people who vote in primaries. Game over.
But, Ari is right - Hillary sends her thanks to all those Virginia voters.

Stop with the radical views stuff...that's your opinion. Others think that following the laws of the land are not radical, but fundamental. Crazy concept.
Good job Pudner!

Well, Chico, he is a college professor who believes in free market principles. On most campuses that would classify you as a radical.

So far, ok. But the future isn't bright on this one.
Bama was already a successful MU alum, but glad to say we at least "knew" him before this fame.
So if I ever decide to run for political office I know the first person I need on speed dial.
Our most famous or infamous politician...Joe McCarthy. So give Bama a break.

Scott Walker makes heads explode, as well.
Sources say Pudner may not be willing to acknowledge victory quite yet after seeing the Shaka / Done Deal debacle.
