I have no idea whom or when, but thought others might have some insight if we are getting near any commits.
It sure has been dead around here for the past few weeks.
Super soon...I wouldn't leave my computer if I were you.
We are very much in the running for Darius Leonard, graduate transfer from Campbell. He visits Wake Forest today and will make his decision shortly afterwards. I don't like what I've been hearing, I think he will be a Demon Deacon.
If we miss on him, it could be a while. I'm hoping that Wojo is planning on adding at least one more 2014 kid, be it transfer, juco, or hs sr. But he seems to be spending most of his time watching 2015 kids.

Wake folks think they have him.

I'm going to stick my neck out, be reckless, and ask what you've heard about the Houston guys, even though this thread isn't in the Superbar.
IMO, six days

Awfully specific Lloyd. Any name in particular?

Tashawn is going to Oklahoma. Danuel is looking mostly at Big 12 and SEC schools. Heard noting to suggest that Wojo has made contact.
July, and a 2015 recruit.
Now that Leonard appears to be off the table, I don't see anyone else coming in for next season.

I hear the Milwaukee media is gathering around the Al at this very moment!

Maybe Golden Boy has some inside info?

Sorry, Lighthouse, I should have used teal. No clue.
One of the problems with having so many open scholarships is that there is no urgency for a recruit to commit, because a potential recruit is not worried about the scholarship going to someone else.

unless they're at the same position...i think any decent recruiter would be able to drive urgency in most situations.
Never! I think we're stumbling. These assistants are worse than Chew.

The recruits are coming to MU the first year because of the head coach, not an assistant who just started a few months ago. Wojo has to be the seller the first year and the players in the
program right now. The assistants need to start building up relations with 9th and 10th graders right now. For 2015, it has to be the salesmanship of Wojo.
I know Wojo is being particular in who he offers and the pickings are relatively slim for '14, but I can't believe that Leonard is apparently the ONLY big remaining that is worthy of a scholarship. We have a crying need for immediate frontcourt help and will be mercilessly pounded inside unless this problem is addressed.

Take a look at that ESPN transfer list. There aren't many bigs outside of Leonard than can help immediately.
And I don't think we should be taking too many flyers on substandard players simply because they are tall. I would rather go small.

Good Lord. Less than 6 weeks and you are convinced they are worse than Chew? I don't know how they will turn out, but I do know that judging them by their first 6 weeks is dumb.
And it shows a complete lack of knowledge of what Chew did when he was at MU. (I mean, I guess from that perspective they are "worse than Chew.")

I wouldn't mind taking a flier if it was a graduate transfer who was going to be here a year. Something is better than an empty scholarship. I think I would give Danuel House, Darius Leonard, and Taran Brown (UCSB) looks if I was Wojo. After that, the pickings are real slim.

Darius Leonard trimmed his list today to Wake Forest, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Drexel

Need to amend my list. Danuel House just arrived on TAMU's campus. Marquette is not on his list. All of his schools are very regionally based.
All that playing time available and we don't even make the final cut?! Drexel?!

He said location would be a factor and he's from Raleigh so maybe he didn't want to go this far west.

As corn meehl said, Leonard wanted to be close to home. Also, he mentioned that he wanted to play the 3/4. Didn't want to be the 5. He would be our tallest player until second semester.

Given the stated importance of location, I actually understand Drexel (about 400 mi from Raleigh) making the final cut more than Miami. Miami is about 800 miles away from Raleigh - not much further than the 950 from Raleigh to Milwaukee.
Probably doesn't matter anyhow - I'd bet he goes to Wake.
Kinda reminds me of the Lockett situation. I remember hearing that his final three were MU, Iowa State and...Gonzaga. Gonzaga looks pretty good from a hoops perspective...but made no sense since he left ASU to be closer to his mom.

He's being real smart, if he doesn't want to spend significant time at center, and he doesn't.
