SMU17
Perhaps the first fake poster meme for Scoop. This poster popped up in the middle of an epic thread debating whether Buzz Williams was honestly considering leaving for SMU in 2012 and what issues Larry Williams as AD was responsible for. The poster showed up claiming to have intimate knowledge of Buzz talking to SMU and negotiating a buy out. The poster was met with the usual revulsion, but cemented his place in Scoop history, as he is invoked every time a random poster shows up talking about outside forces at work with MU
Website Construction
A classic summer Scoop meme. After the Big East launched in it's new brand and new organization, there appeared to some, to be a lack of activity around making the league visible on the web. This included the lack of a website. This sparked a huge debate(by summer standards) of what exactly the commissioner should or should not be doing about website script writing and if furniture was a priority. It's as much fun as it sounds.
Does hoopaloop count? Was SMU17 before Hoopaloop?
SMU17 was 100% correct.
This one feels more like an 8 vs. 9 game.

Technically, no he doesn't. Hoopaloop was supposedly a real person and it was never proven that he was in fact not a person different than Chicos. Hoopaloop predates SMU17 but wins on a technicality.
But who knows the committee is made up of a bunch of yahoos....probably need a cranialanalectomy
Reviewed SMU17's posts to see what it was that he was 100% correct about - still not sure.
But I did notice that SMU17 used "done deal." He was ahead of his time!

Only one Scooper knows whether Hoopaloop was real or a fiction/alter ego. He was supposedly from the Midwest, went to Purdue, then Marquette (or vice versa). When Chico was banned for (almost) life he was like the girl who fell for the guy on death row, arguing the Chico POV religiously. He supposedly took a pilgrimage to Mecca (Chico's home in California). Homage was paid, beers were consumed and a plot (originally denied but later acknowledged) was hatched to let Chico access Hoop's IP address and resume posting on Scoop. When Chico's ban was lifted, Hoop mysteriously disappeared into cyberspace. All very mysterious and somewhat squirmy.
