Weren't some Scoopers saying this kid wasn't good enough for Marquette to pursue?

Oh well ... what does Izzo know about basketball?

Will he follow Bazz Wiliam?

This next recruiting season is very strong in Wisconsin, Wojo will have to rope in some of these kids.  Nick, Heldt and either Ellenson or Stone are very important for the future of MU basketball.
It seems to be a banner year in this state, normally there is only 1 or 2 Division 1 players, this year there must be 7 or 8.  Good luck, reminds me of the 1st year of Kevin O'Neal, Key, Logterman
and Mac, hope Wojo is as successful.

I am not picking on you specifically, because I've seen it multiple times, but I can I just say that the whole 'Bazz' thing is so stupid? I know what it is supposed to be, but it makes absolutely no sense, and should be considered by all to be well below the standard of humor for MUScoop. It is so weak.

Thanks. I thought I was the only one who thought this.

I agree, Buzz kept the program moving forward other than last year.  Sure there were underlying issues inside the administration and the program.  Now you have a coach that comes from the best program in the country, I am sure those types of situations might be less, but Duke has there issues like any other program.  Time will tell.  But Buzz had a good run here.

That's all true, but I don't mind ripping on the guy...However, Bazz is just a stupid nonsensical way to try to do so.

Buzz=our departed coach for the first 3 years of his tenure.
Brent=the departed coach for the remainder of his tenure, once he forgot his roots.
Bert/Barney/Bart/etc=the hillbilly in Virginia.
Bazz=dumb.  I think most of us liked Buzz.  Not so many liked Brent.  Rip on Brent, not Buzz.

I don't see any reason to rip on our former coach no matter what name you call him. It especially irks me that so many are happy to pile on and rewrite history now that he is gone. Most people on this board didn't have anything bad to say when he was here, and now they are reaching back to point out every possible flaw he may have demonstrated over his tenure. Most people chided and laughed at the UW fans that would take every opportunity to rip our head coach. Now several posters are saying the exact same things.

Buzz did great things for MU's basketball program. He also did some things that were not so great for MU's basketball program and the administration's vision of MU as an institution. He was/is a flawed human being that was forced to grow up as a head coach on a pretty large stage. Buzz wavered some under adversity and ultimately made some poor decisions because of it. Hopefully, MU and Buzz learned from their experiences over the past 6 years. I sincerely hope both end up better off after Buzz's departure.

I don't even know what Bazz is supposed to mean. But is seems to have caught on so I use it.

Kind of funny that I am offended by the "hillbilly" term, but I'm not going to call anyone out on it.

Personally, I think it should be his given name, which I believe is Brent?  And yes, he was a winner on the court and I appreciate that aspect.

Now, on Noskowiak, let's get him.  It would be nice if he would commit to get the class going and as a selling point to some bigs!

"The standard of humor for MUScoop."  That's a new one.

Agree on the nickname thing. It kind of comes off like we can't bring ourselves to say his name.

On Noskowiak, I think he stays in the fold. He said right after the decommit that he wanted Marquette but he needed to be wanted by Wojo. If Wojo wants him, he can get him.
