Picking splinters out of his heine last season was bad enough, but so far Novak is only GQ'in it on the Rockets' bench.
I thought Van Gundy was brutal, but Adelman is showing no mercy. Sure Steve is cashing a paycheck, but you have to wonder if the NDBL is all that's left?
You would have to think that with his size and touch he would be able to find a niche in the association. Is his D that bad?
He was never a great defender while he was here, and his lack of speed is much more of a problem in the Association that it was in college. He is too slow to defend the SF position, and he isn't big enough to guard PFs. I could see him eventually getting some minutes at the end of games when his team desperately needs a 3, but right now there are other guys who can knock it down without being such a liability on defense.
haha picking splinters out of his heine huh? well this past weekend I Luke Jackson was out here visiting a classmate of mine from dental school. Everyone remeber him? Great college player and 10th pick in '04 draft? I asked him what hes up to these days and he basically said hes out of a job. Crazy huh. Hope steve bodes better

Boo f'ing hoo. Jackson made $6 million from the NBA and is effectively retired at 26. It's hard to feel sorry for him. I'm sure he's enjoying himself.

Dont get me wrong, the money is nice, but anyone who has played sports at any competitive level knows that its gotta kill him going from hs and college stud to being out of a job

I'm sure it's a massive blow to his ego and it sucks in its own way. I'm just saying a stack of cash in the bank eases the blow. He should go to Europe, get his game together, and then make another stab at the NBA. Look at Anthony Parker in Toronto. I always liked Jackson, I wish him the best. Good player who deserves another shot in the NBA.
